Many of us live in America where we have co-opted MEXICAN Independence Day, aka Cinco de Mayo, as an excuse to get drunk on Cervezas and eat tacos. Of course it's a good enough reason to party!
It’s not Mexican Independence Day, that’s September 16. May 5 is/was a celebration of winning a battle against France. But it’s definitely been co-opted by beer companies.
Revenge of the Fifth is the holiday, Cinqo de Mayo is just the excuse people use to hide their allegiance.
My bad, America is where we co-opted some random day, claimed it was Mexican Independence Day (seriously, that's what I have always heard), and THEN used it as an excuse for cervezas and tacos.
It’s been pushed as that by many different people, but the Mexicans I know get irritated about the Independence part of that story. They like the beer and tamale part though.
I thought I already posted this somewhere else, but here it is again, I guess?

My Facebook got hacked today while I was sleeping. They added a phone, changed my password, changed my avatar to a big boobed chick that I never even got to see, messaged a shitload of people on my friend list, then reported a bunch of them. And the scam was hilariously bad.

So here's a wild one, my ma was stuck on this level of Candy Crush all week, finally frustrated she CAVED and bought 25 extra moves for a dollar. Her credit card than contacted her about the purchase which was unusual since she usually never does that, which she corrected was true...but then also was told her card was used for a 98 dollar purchase from Amerihealth which she DID NOT make.
So there's ONE plus for Freemium games, they prove credit card fraud!
