Random Video Game Crap

I mean, I love games where I build stuff. Dwarf Fortress, Prison Architect, Sim City/Cities Skylines, Stardew Valley, Tropico, etc. Hell, even for games like Subnautica and Fallout 4, I spend a disproportionate amount of time on the basebuilding stuff. So Minecraft absolutely sounds like it'd be my cup of tea. It's just that, for some reason, I've never bought and played it.

Actually, where would I buy Minecraft from?

Minecraft.net

Or if you're a glutton for punishment, the windows 10 store.

But what everybody around here is playing is the java version from minecraft.net.

What's wrong with the Windows Store version? (I ask merely out of curiosity, I've actually never bought anything from the Windows Store before.)

I've only ever bought one thing from the Microsoft Store (which was Minecraft incidentally) & it wanted to change my PC password to my Microsoft account password. This was a few years ago though, so that may not be a thing it does anymore. The other thing is that until recently everything on the store was a Universal Windows Program (UWP) that was supposed to work across all your Windows devices - your desktop, XBox, windows phone rather than being optimised for the actual system it was running on.

There's a mod for Sims 4 called Bouncing Sim Boobies. It does exactly What It Says On The Tin. This was posted in the mod's support thread on Lovers Lab:
They bounce when walking but not when standing still. Does anyone know what the problem is?
Me: Newton's laws of physics.

Ummmmmm... right. So, looking at the first half, I could see how it could have post-partum benefits. Then the games show up and it made a fast turn into a weird place and I just can't at this point.

I don't know if this came from research that women are likely to play app-based games, or that they were trying to find a way to make this "fun", but ...no.
