Funny (political, religious) pictures

Picture scary:

This reminds of of something I never fucking understood.

White = White
Black = Black
Black + White = Black

I remember how pissed off people were of Obama about being a black president, but he was mixed racial. Wouldn't the creation of interracial children also be a "Black Genocide" too if we had any fucking sense? Oh right, Black people accept mixed race as their own without making them out as subhuman, can't say the same for David Duke and his bullshit.

Ehhh, while it's definitely not on the same level or scale, there most assuredly is plenty of half-breed racism out there on the black side, too.
We don't have quite as many people who'd fit the bill around here, but the amount of hate, ridicule and condescension faced by children with mixed-race parents between Arab and white, from the Arab side, around here is really something else. I mean, line you'd expect, they're usually still considered colored by white racists, but the extremists on the other side don't consider them white - they consider them pretty much abominations and their parents traitors. They're wrong and bad arenas need to go - up to honour killings and the like.

It stems from the old One-Drop rule from ~100 years ago. If your blood has "one drop" of african in it, you're not white, according to white supremacists.

However...
Oh right, Black people accept mixed race as their own without making them out as subhuman
Uhhh... this, often, is not the case. There's all kinds of mistreatment in the black community for those deemed "not black enough."

Mixed Korean/White and Japanese/White also usually have problems stemming from from the Asian side far, far, far more than they have from the white side. I'll never forget the 3rd grader at the Shenyang Korean International School that was mercilessly bullied to tears at almost a daily basis as having dirty blood because her mother was Mongolian, or the half white/half Japanese women who was considered an "outsider" despite being born in Japan and having lived there almost her entire life.

Yeah, I didn't feel like going into too much detail since I was on mobile, but the racism in Apartheid-era South Africa between black and mixed was....Something else. Of course, dutifully fed by the white oppressors.

Maybe that is true. It does not seem as common to me but I admit my knowledge on it is limited, I just don't notice as big of a stink about it. Like I said before, Obama is technically mixed, and most of the black community seemed to embrace him pretty heavy.

That's sort of the inverse of One-Drop, where having "at least one drop" makes Obama Black enough for the community at large to claim him as one of their own.

There's still very much a "house vs field" mentality, and it's still too often the case that any young black person who tries to better themselves is sneered at by other black people, who accuse them of "trying to be white."

I also love how the retort is, "Well, if you can figure out what we're talking about, that means you are secretly a Nazi, too," which implies that the worst insult they can come up with is to imply you're one of them?

Did he really think the people noting the dog whistle wouldn't see his username was another fucking dog whistle? These Nazis think they're clever, but this is the internet. Information spreads.
“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean Paul-Sartre

Also, you're now a nazi for recognising the alliteration...

That's because they've been taught "nazi bad", like "racist bad", but not actually taught to understand why in any meaningful form, so they end up avoiding the label instead of the ideas that make someone a nazi and/or a racist.

Well, at least I was able to google for myself why that was a dogwhistle.
Granted, I don't feel enriched by the knowledge, but now I know.
Really, you had to google what HH might stand for?

I'd think i'd be rather imposible to find a portrayal of nazis anywhere that doesn't feature what is basically their catchphrase...

Hell, even their most animeish expys reference it (Sieg Zion!!!)

Oops, now I'm a Nazi because know I'm woke to honk honk >_<
ONE OF US, ONE OF US!!!

Eh, pretty sure it’s just because they assume it’s the best way to get the protesters’ goat, like calling a homophobe “gay” to play off the homophobe’s subconscious fear that maybe they really aren’t an absolute zero on the Kinsey scale.

So, the premiere of the cartoon "Arthur" a couple weeks ago involved Arthur's teacher, Mr. Ratburn, marrying an Aardvark. Who was also male. Much controversy ensued, and PBS affiliates in Alabama refused to air the episode outright. An article regarding the Alabama decision referred to the rodent nuptials as a "gay rat wedding," inspiring tons of Twitter memes. Weeks later, the joke's strength has grown.

Here's some of the twitter memes about it, spoiled for length.
