I know my hesitation from bringing up her owing me money is that I know how bad she's doing financially right now. She is strapped for cash, which makes me feel like a shitty friend that I want to collect, but then I see her buy tickets to concerts and other things and I get annoyed. That $40 could've gone to me, you know? That's why I haven't straight up asked. I just didn't think this would be a problem? Like, I thought she would just pay me back cause she's my best friend?

Anyway, I'll talk to her about it. Sighs for days.
She should have paid you back before she got on the plane with you. She definitely should have paid you back before she started spending money on concerts or any other expensive things.

I might sound hard ass here, but her behavior isn’t very respectful to your friendship.

Honestly, I feel this way too. But I’m scared it makes me a bad friend??

So, I don’t think you’re a hard ass, personally. :/

It doesn’t make you a bad friend. She’s acting like a bad friend for putting you in this position. It’s not fair.

I’m not saying that she’s a bad friend overall, only that she’s acting like one in this situation.

For what it’s worth, I have legitimately forgotten to repay someone before and I wasn’t upset when I reminded.

He’s going to give you a 20% share of all profits going forward, right? To match your investment?

You disappoint me. Of all people, I was pretty sure *you* would have gotten it right...If one person pays 100k, and the other 20k, that's not 20% of the investment. It's 16.7%.

Also, @GasBandit : before we could give the "heresy" rating if you gave it first. Now we can't anymore. Is this intentional? Boohhh.

And @LittleKagsin : I do suggest not over reacting. You can't be sure you know the full details of her life. Concerts she has gone to marry have been gifts she didn't pay herself, they may have been ordered many months ago back when she had more money, etc etc. There can be half a dozen explanations as to why that concert was affordable and repayment wasn't. Perhaps it was her last-ever outing with a dear friend who's dying or moving away.
I mean, I'd definitely ask for the money back, but I'd be very careful about saying things like "I can see on Facebook that you've got plenty of money to spend I other things!". That can very easily do more bad than good.

I took it to mean he contributed 20k to his buddy's 100k total, not 120k total, otherwise yes, I would've gotten it. :p

Eh...but I do. :/ I know for a fact she is buying the tickets herself, for herself. No one is gifting them to her. She literally just posted that she bought her Warped Tour ticket and how excited she is about it. She's not getting them months in advance. After we got back from the cruise she told me the piercings she was gonna get and then posted all the jewelry she bought for the piercings. Like..no. I'm sorry but no. I know she's buying all this shit herself AFTER she owes me.

All that said, I'm not gonna be mean about it. Haha! I'm not like that. I'm upset, sure, but, I'm pretty chill even when I'm upset. It takes A LOT to truly upset me. So, I'll still be calm and cool about it. I don't want to make her feel worse than she probably does. :) I'm not going to bring up her other purchases, I'm just going to remind her that she owes me and if she can't pay it all at once, we can set up a payment plan. I'm nice, I swear!

I got a call the other day from some auto-dialer so I picked up and answered as if they had called into a local rock station.

*ring* "You're calling WPQST FM, the Pequest Valley's #1 rock station, you're on the air!" *electronic stuttered beep, call hangs up*
That's a gutsy move, putting your callers on air without any screening.

My meds are doing weird things to my hair. My roots used to come in super dark brown/almost black and so did my eyebrows. My hair dresser had to pre-lighten my hair before making it blonde.

Now my hair is gradually getting lighter and lighter and my roots are kind of a non-colour. My hair dresser can now make me blonde with the lowest volume of toner she has. No bleach needed. My eyebrows are fading too.

Bizarre and very random. I had no idea that this could happen from medication. I’m not going gray or white. I mean I was before, but now it’s just losing colour.

I was mowing some overgrown scrub in my back yard and barely missed running over a small copperhead snake. Seeing a poisonous snake sure takes the desire to do hard work in the hot sun out of a fella.
