Nah, it's that Zodiac International version that was never released here and some uprezzed, uncompressed textures.
Probably uncompressed audio, too, from the size of it. Like that other game that did that years ago, the name of which escapes me.

I don't even know why I'm downloading this, I have zero interest in playing it. Maybe just to seed it to spite Square Enix.[DOUBLEPOST=1517524613,1517524097][/DOUBLEPOST]Titanfall. That was the one I was thinking of. 35 fucking gigs of uncompressed audio. What a debacle.

Subnautica PSA:

Even if you manage to kill a Reaper Leviathan, it can still eat you if you swim up to its face like a fucktard.

Oh neat, the media addon works for xboxdvr.com, too.
Whoa, ImperialBoss. He's one of the most active users on r/Subnautica, and well-known for his creativity when it comes to building and decorating bases. For example, he likes to pack his moonpool absolutely full of lockers.

Feels weird seeing his name outside of the subreddit.

I wish they would make a new Arcanum: Of steamworks and magick obscura. I love that game to pieces. If it wasnt such a buggy mess.

I think there's an actual rights issue on that one with whomever bought what was left of Troika. Like, it might belong to whomever owns the Sierra assets now (so Activision)?

Besides, Obsidian has a few projects in the works already. It would be years before we saw it.

I got my steam link set up and I'm not very impressed.

It supports my PS4 controller natively, which is nice, but the display is choppy. I've got a direct cat 6 connection to my router, straight to the PC upstairs. I'll play around with it a bit more

Sounds like it'll take too much cord to do it, but could you connect a cord from the PC to the Link? I ran into similar problems trying to do it wirelessly.

I have mine hooked up, going through 2 hops (the cable modem and a 1 gigabit switch in the basement so that everything down there can have ethernet), and it is working fine. Hmm.

Mass Effect Andromeda was such a tragedy.

It could (should) have been something special. A whole new chance to tell fresh stories in the Mass Effect universe. Instead we got that rushed pile of mediocrity that killed a studio and the whole franchise. Jeez.

Just thought about this from listening to some Miracle of Sound and his Mass Effect Andromeda song came on....which is a better song than that game deserves.

There's a reason EA is the Galactus of the gaming world. Just another thing they have devoured.

What will happen after Microsoft buys them?

—Patrick
If their acquisition of Rare is anything to go by, all of their franchises will go to shit and they will cease to put out anything interesting anymore.

Alternatively, Microsoft will have to deal with another monopoly lawsuit when they refuse to release all of EA's sports titles on non-Xbox equipment.

More from the psychopath, who is complaining that combat is too easy, and has been told to turn up the difficulty...

"Yeah, that's true but feels fake to me. I usually play all games on the default, normal setting that they start with. I never modify difficulty settings because it feels kind of like purposely handicapping yourself....like I am fighting an enemy and decide, "Hey, I think I'll just cut off one of my arms because they are too easy...."
I got a one week ban from the PS:T Steam sub-forum for calling out this guy on his bullshit. Apparently "Turn up the difficulty or stop whining. The slider exists for a reason. USE IT. Don't give excuses that are outright lies." is a personal attack.

Subnautica Player Accidentally Eats Somebody's Pets

https://www.pcgamesn.com/subnautica/subnautica-pets-time-capsule

No, not a VR session gone awry... apparently when you beat Subnautica, you get to make a "time capsule," which can contain a message, an image, and a couple items. If your Time Capsule gets upvoted enough on subnautica's website, it will appear in-game, for other players to potentially find (but not guaranteed, it's a big ocean).

So one guy found a time capsule, opened it, found a couple fish, and immediately ate them. Then read the message that came with it..

Wait, why was that anonymous? I didn't click anonymous.
Apparently you did.
I've always said the Anonymous? checkbox is too close to the Submit button. Well, not the button, actually, but because clicking on the label (the text of the word "Anonymous?" itself) will act as though you checked the button, it's not hard to do since there's so little space between the word and the post button.

This has been commented on by a couple of people. I wonder what the hell. Something up with the anonymous addon, maybe?
Pat might be on to something. Apparently even accidentally clicking the "?" in "Anonymous?" is enough to check the box, so if it's monday morning and you're still kinda bleary, I could believe clicking a little inaccurately.

It's not the first time I've mentioned it, but I don't know enough about XenForo to know if there's a property that can be edited to leave more buffer space between the two, or to move the label to the left of the check box, or whatever.

That's a much more palatable excuse than an addon going berserk.[DOUBLEPOST=1517849251,1517849232][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'll look into it.
