The Internet will never satisfy its lust for bizarre and weird things.

You'd think "half a roll of toilet paper crumpled and balled up, along with 2 pounds of lightly-blended burrito content" would make for a better simile.

Where does someone get 240 lbs of mercury? Isn't that stuff a controlled material?

EDIT: oops, I see PatrThom already said it.

Elemental mercury is quite entertaining.
However, since it is eliminated from the body soooooo slooooowly, getting any of it into your body (through respiration, injection, or absorption*) means that it takes a long time to get out (if it ever does).
It's been >30 yrs for me, and I still haven't seen any symptoms (that I know of). And I didn't just handle the stuff, I was actively amalgamating it with other things (before I knew how dangerous it was). Anecdotal, I know. Also lucky.

*difficult for elemental mercury, but a lot easier once it gets combined with other stuff.

I'm FAR more interested where he gets the raw materials.
And the money to buy them.

Happy to see him wearing gloves near the end. You do NOT fuck with mercuric compounds.

If I'm not mistaken, his grandfather had a cinnabar (mercury sulfide) mine on the property his family still has a farm on. A lot of the equipment from that is still around, and sees use in some of his videos.
