What, no Pokemon Go thread?

It's called Game Theory and it's a real thing. I've been trying to get my university on board but getting nowhere. I guess it's got to be the idea of one of the top brass. Like Pokemon Go, nobody is willing to take a chance and capitalize on trends. I didn't exactly get shot down on the whole student activity thing, but they wanted to turn it into a Big God Damned Project. And when the COO found out the the VP of security was sending people away, shit got real. And here's Dave in the middle starting it all and just wanting to do it without going through the Director of Student Activities, Director of Social Media, or Director of Marketing.

By the time these people realize there's an opportunity to be had, they'll "meeting" themselves into missing it.

That... that exists?

<squeeeeeexplode!>
See? They've got your poison, whatever your poison is :p And since Fire Pokémon gather around where it's hot, and Water Pokémon around rivers and lakes, I'm going to assume these ferret Pokémons can only be found around your house :p

Must... catch... 'em... allllllll!

Something about walking around looking for Pokemon and seeing other strangers doing the exact same thing is really fun.

Wait, your university doesn't understand game theory? What kind of rinkydink operation are you part of?

It's not that they don't understand it, they just don't think it has any value and have taken no steps to look into it further.

Wow, that's even worse.
That's MY point! They are all former military/business people who are so fucking out of touch it's amazing. And they wonder why our school is looked at as an adult learner (read "old people") school. We're trying to attract younger students, but they aren't doing anything TO attract younger students. Just targeting ads and email blasts, having meetings at schools, etc. Not actually making the school more attractive to young people. That's crazy talk!

Yeah, if they get it together, all of a sudden you're dealing with a 20-feet-long angry blue dragon called Mr. Fish.

This might explain my gym. I caught 12 today while I was on the eliptical. If someone is throwing out lures (like that bar), kudos!

You can easily tell when a Lure's active though.

Apparently (citation needed) the amount of pokémon generated in an area is (partially) based on the amount of active users in the area. So, if there were some others nearby, that can help explain it too. And also why hunting in groups is apparently so much more effective.

I ran out of Pokeballs. Now I have to actually leave my apartment to go to a Pokestop. :(
I honestly don't understand that. CAD made a comic about it too....Seriously, I keep hitting "bag is full" errors because I have 240+ balls. Do you have have really few Pokestops and loads and loads of Pokemon to catch or something?

I have a feeling that Belgium is a little different geographically.

Also, the lake near my house was awesome for Pokemon'ing today. Someone dropped lures on three pokestops, and the gym was a constant battle to maintain control. Got a few Team Instinct high fives as well.
