[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

Funny. WRONG and potentially bad timing...but funny.
A thing can be both funny and offensive simultaneously.

Also, who says, "I'm gonna go out there and start killing police officers solely because they are wearing police officer clothes and are sitting in police officer cars doing police officer things at the police officer station" but yet for some reason DOESN'T realize that this sounds exactly like racism?

And helps do absolutely nothing more than turning public sympathy into another brick in the blue wall as they rally around the force. Which they should since, you know, this police force wasn't involved in the Baton Rouge shooting.

In the very first book of the bible there are four people on the earth. One of them commits murder.

*pfft* The rise of Trump shows us we didn't even learn anything from 70 years ago about the rise of nationalist fascism cloaked in fear rather than intelligent discourse and debate.

Civilization is a recent invention of mankind, and pitted against the background of the entire time our species has existed is a drop in the bucket. Long lasting and meaningful change in our psyche and intelligence is going to take a long time, and sadly may take many more awful disasters and incidents before we get there. Set the bar high for mankind if you'd like, but don't expect utopia anytime soon.

He may have deleted his original tweet, but everyone now knows this dumbass ex-Congressman is calling for a race war *and* threatening the President all in one go...

News sites reporting last remaining suspect committed suicide. Nothing confirmed yet.

(ETA: no names or descriptions of any of the suspects, at large or in custody, have been provided yet.)

I assume he's talking about the millions of genocided natives.[DOUBLEPOST=1467967009,1467966901][/DOUBLEPOST]Here's something else:

Means nothing. Cops get investigated all the time when people make spurious claims against them. And yes, cops get allegations throw up at them all the time. For some reason, bad guys don't care if their suit is justified or not. And that is something else that helps build the blue wall and obfuscates real issues.
I was just completely exonerated on an accusation of racism/profiling, because I investigated an open door of a business that was normally closed on the day I checked. They were doing a Mother's Day special. The clerk/manager happened to be black. I asked for ID, as is standard whenever we check alarms/open doors and make contact with a subject inside - you can tell me any name or information you want, but I can't verify it's you until I see a photo ID.

She was being deliberately obstructive and refusing to tell me anything else, or show me anything with a photo.

Rather than press the issue, or (Gods forbid) make a justified arrest for Obstruction by Hindering, I took the higher road and simply let it go.

Find out weeks later that I've been cleared from an investigation that I had no idea was going on.

I've been formally investigated by the Office of Professional Standards.... hell, 7 or 8 times, I think? To include an excessive force complaint. To say nothing of the COUNTLESS street-level investigations done by supervisors for people who weren't happy with the way they were treated, because complainants don't always get what they want. Go figure.

I have been found in the wrong on 1 count - failing to properly document the use of force. Witnesses to the incident confirmed my story of events, to include the subject's wife.

Just to give y'all some perspective on how often officers are investigated.

How's that for transparency?

i think it's worth noting that the suspect did NOT commit suicide, but he was killed by a dallas police robot carrying a bomb

next up - why do the dallas police have robot bombs
follow up question - why are they using them to blow up suspects

in any event, the fact that they violently murdered him instead of bringing him in does at least confirm the suspect is black. the police chief was doing a weird dance of "not wanting to confirm any info" but then just saying "he wanted to kill all white people".

I was wondering about the robot bomb myself, but considering the circumstances I can see why they used it. Tactically, at that point the suspect was holed up in a defensible position and had stated that he had explosives around the area. Police would have been prevented from doing bomb sweeps because of the danger he presented. They couldn't use sniper fire to take him out and couldn't get close enough to use gas. But they had to find out if there were explosives so they couldn't simply wait him out. So they did what they had to do to take him out. It was a tactical decision that takes a lot of things into account so I'm not second guessing that.

Listen, the Dallas police and the Black Lives Matter movement have been working together for some time to make things better. In fact, several officers were on the ground marching alongside the BLM activists! Which makes them an even more illogical target. I do not nor will I ever condone the shooting of anyone, let alone police, but if this had been in Baton Rouge I'd have understood it more. Why do this to a department that is actively trying to make things better? It undercuts everything you are trying to do. It would be like getting pissed at a bully in California so I punch a guy in Omaha who is hosting an anti-bullying meeting.

Waiting him out might not have been an option (IIRC he claimed to have explosives of his own).
When humans make decisions about humans they see as peers, expensive robots are much more disposable than peers.
Police have expensive robots for recon and bomb disposal.
Said robots can have things attached to them.
Police have explosives (door/wall breaching, suspicious package disposal).
You do the math.

in any event, the fact that they violently murdered him instead of bringing him in does at least confirm the suspect is black.
Do you use lotion to masturbate, or are your hands sweaty enough on their own?

Because there are piece of shit terrorists in the world that need killing.
Because the piece of shit is a terrorist.

I won't go too far into it, since I don't have the true details and motivations, but if these guys wanted a "race war" like I have been hearing, then attacking an area already hot with contempt just gets you little more contempt. Creating a schism in an area where none existed previously is a much more logical action.

this piece of shit is a human being, american citizen, and is guaranteed the right to a fair trial, free from cruel or unusual punishment just like you and me.

like. we live in a country now that uses robot murder bombs on its citizens now. internationally and domestically. I didn't think opposing that would be a radical view, honestly

Lethal force scenario.
Bomb squad robot equipped with disposal charges for suspicious packages.
Lethal force-using suspect placed himself in a position where a human officer would have been at risk of receiving deadly force.
Suspect knew that deadly force would be used against him.

Officer's lives spared from potentially deadly breaching situation. Lethal force-using bad guy removed from play.

Once you decide to kill innocent people, you lost the right to call yourself human. If you are holding a gun and shooting at police and citizens, there is no trial needed.

No they don't, and yes there is. Had they surrendered, or had they been suppressed non-lethally, I would expect them to receive the full protection of your law system. Do you also need lotion?

Yeah if he was shooting people and not surrendering, I don't have a problem with doing what you have to do to kill him. If you have a window to take him down alive, then great but otherwise all bets are off.

So you're not advocating summary execution by the local LEO commissar, as your last post implied?
It is fucking combat at that point. The terrorist is the one that decided to die.

You can't exactly hold hands with someone that just murdered 5 people and sing kumbaya while he still has 30 rounds in his magazine.

So what I said, only with more experience and less words. ;)
