The Undisputed Unified Wrestling Thread

Who can blame him? The creative team can't keep straight what they're doing from week to week and worse. Plus, Punk himself is horribly run down, desperately in need of a break or a vacation. I say good on him. It boggles my mind that they put the guy that's so broken down in the ENTIRE Rumble match.

I'm surprised he didn't try holding out until after WrestleMania to get that sweet WM payday, though.

Hmm...Punk in the first promo of Smackdown. Just not updating it, or signs of a work?

Also, Shield v. Wyatts at EC? Did Creative learn something about fucking with the fans the way they did? They have to realize that if they keep jerking the fans around the way they have, they'll have a Rumble-style crowd at Wrestlemania.

I'll watch it Monday ;) before I disappear into the depths of the Royal Rumble.

Also if anyone on here is getting the WWE Network (or even just the 1 week trial), be sure to check out the NXT live special NXT: ArRIVAL. Basically a NXT ppv with a card that should be awesome.

Whelp the networks out. Everything on Demand seems to be working fine. Test bars were the only thing available "live" before I left for work. At first I thought the schedule/channel aspect would be a neat gimmick, but after being overwhelmed with all the content on there, I like the idea of a 24/7 "this is what we're watching now."

Apparently it's not as uncensored as people had hoped. However, Botchamania made sure the most important WCW moment was intact.

From what I've been hearing they've stripped unlicensed music (replaced with the Jim Johnston vault) and references to Owen's death in Over the Edge '99.

I haven't watched much to know more yet.[DOUBLEPOST=1393275662,1393275513][/DOUBLEPOST]I just got a Benoit disclaimer.

So, I thought it wasn't available in Canada. I just accessed it via the free trial. I've only managed to get it to work for a short time before errors, but my errors are common amongst all users.

On a side note, I finally watched last weeks Raw.

That fuckin' Cesaro Cena match was literally better than 99% of all matches I've ever seen. Holy shit that was a hell of a thing.[DOUBLEPOST=1393276249,1393276118][/DOUBLEPOST]

Not all of it. Undertaker has Rollin' and the amazing Rock/Austin Limp Bizkit My Way promo is there. I think it has to do with how broadcasting rights differ from resale rights.

Shit, most of the ECW stuff is removed. Lame-o.

Oh good they kept the limp bizkit :rage:

Must have to do with licensing. I know there's stuff on the Network that was previously censored in the DVDs

The big downside to the Network is it's gonna be hell on guys like Botchamania and OSW Review dudes who're going to have a hell of a time keeping anything on Youtube.

I don't know what's better: that the Network is having major problems, or that we'll be subjected to Michael Cole telling us how to sign up for it the next six months.

Going to have?

Is OSW Wrestling video? I had assumed it was audio only like the AE podcast.

About to watch Bash at the Beach 96 once I get my dog downstairs.

Oh yeah, looks like WWE has blocked their entire Youtube channel. Their video podcasts were great. OSW Review I mean.

Summerslam 89 still seems to work.

So Jake Roberts just had emergency surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Shame, since he was about to wrestle for an indie.

On the plus side he is looking after himself to the point that he and his doctors noticed it.

And Boo-tista is now a heel.

I hope the crowds stop chanting at him and either all leave when his matches start or yell "Change the channel. Clap clap clap"

Man does he get winded fast.

He was completely gassed at the end of a 5-minute, throwaway TV match. He's going to die trying to wrestle a 20-minute main event. It's not only terrible at this point, it's sad and pathetic that they think this'll work.

Thing is, I don't think it's even X-Pac heat. X-Pac heat was at least still booing him for being an asshole. They didn't hijack his matches because they didn't want him around. They just hated him. Here, they're actively booing Batistia because they don't WANT him around. And why would they? He's given us no reason to cheer him or give him a chance. Every move he does is sloppy as hell, he can't go 5 minutes without being exhausted, and while he was away failing at MMA and becoming a movie star, all he did was talk shit about the business. Fuck that guy.

WWE Network is great. The live stream is surprisingly addicting for background viewing. Issues I had with the on demand programming, buffering and availability, are being resolved. Watching WrestleMania III now with little issue.

I watched Wrestlemania X-7 (my favorite PPV) last night (forced the girlfriend to watch it with me, heh) and yup, I like the Network a great deal. I doubly love that it just straight up works for Canadians so far. Hopefully they don't roll out real geoblocking.

What I don't understand is why after the Undertaker beats HHH, the sound cuts out until it finally goes over to the Rock backstage. They played his them music when he came to the ring (The Limp Bizkit "classic" Rollin') so I'm in the dark as to why they cut the sound after.

Oh man, they're starting it off with Cesaro and Zayne?

I am iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin.

Man, I'll take Regal on commentary over JBL or King any day.

"Specific Wrestler has such tenacity in the face of adversity"
"What are you talking about Mike-oh? Why are you so stupid and white and stupid Mike-oh? There's no conspiracies Mike-oh!"
"Well, ok, here's how you download the APP!"

I would hate to have to follow that.

Stephanie forgot to announce them after saying she was going to announce them.

Ok, is Ernest "The Cat" Miller's old theme the most reused theme in all of WWE? Brodus Clay, Tons of Funk, Funkadactyls and now Xavier Woods? Jeez, it's noticeable guys.

That was a pretty great show.

Alright, so I have no problem saying that the current crop of talent throughout all of WWE blows away anything they've ever had, wrestling wise. Just top to bottom there are incredible talents...and Big Show.

I watched Arrival last night, myself. I don't have the Network since I don't want to do all the ridiculous work-arounds in order to get it.

But it absolutely blows my mind how good NXT is compared to the "big league" shows. The fans are actually invested in the characters and not trying to hijack the show. The right people are getting pushed for all the right reasons. There isn't an inch of time wasted on stupid backstage skits. In fact, there were even short promos between matches to hype each wrestler for upcoming matches on the show. On regular episodes of NXT, they'll have some amazing backstage promos to hype upcoming matches. For example, when Regal wrestled Cesaro a few weeks ago, he cut one of the BEST promos I've seen in a long time.

I cna't for the life of me understand how this show can be one of the best, consistent wrestling products in years while RAW is the drizzling shits.
