EDIT: upon looking at this list, maybe they just got like 2/3 of it wrong!

Yo, Charlie, I'm very happy for you, Imma let you finish, but the MTV movie awards was the best award ceremony of all time. Of all time!

I mean, even the movie awards thing is getting out of hand. How much value can you put on an award you won at one awards show, when there are like 8 more award shows just like it?

They really need to consolidate....

Well the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, and Tonys are kind of the main four for entertainment. No one gives people's choice, MTV, golden globes, teen choice much credibility.

Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Show: Jeff Probst - Survivor

There's a fucking Emmy for this?

People watch awards shows about TV shows? :bush:
Used to love them (also Tonys, Oscars, etc.). Now I can't stand them. Too much mutual masturbation, especially when the fucking Academy Awards win EVERY TIME.

I cared about one Emmy this year, which my friend won at the earlier ceremony. Otherwise, whatever, although Jon Cryer winning just proves that as much as they want to congratulate themselves for being so edgy as to pick "Mad Men" as best show, the awards are still a crock of shit.

Jon. Cryer. Two and a Half Men. Yeah.

I watched bits of it. Ricky Gervais was funny. I'm just glad Emerson got his due.

Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Show: Jeff Probst - Survivor
I'm just curious: who would you have picked? And why?[/QUOTE]

The category itself is a contradiction in terms.

I'm just glad Emerson got his due.
Ah yeah, I should say, I was pretty glad for that award. I expected him to be perennially passed over and he truly deserves recognition.

Outstanding Comedy Series: 30 Rock
Disputed because of the fact that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia wasn't even NOMINATED, besides it deserving to win. I like 30 Rock, but really...

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Michael Emerson - Lost
This is a very tough call. Both Emerson and Aaron Paul are great actors. I really don't know which I'd pick. Very glad Cranston won though.
