Is it fucked up that I found meaning to life through Rick and Morty?

I don't really want to get into the existential details, but holy shit this show is amazing.

Was it "Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everyone's gonna die. Come watch TV"?

Nihilism is genuinely liberating when done right, after all.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that Mathias has discovered that his purpose is to pass butter.

So are you gonna dish, or make us watch the show?

I'd watch the show, but it has a profoundly nihilistic influence: we're all alone; nothing you do matters. The only meaning in life is essentially stop trying to find a meaning, and once you do that you're free to make your own meaning and purpose.[DOUBLEPOST=1500905750,1500905505][/DOUBLEPOST]

HA!

It's definitely subtle, but after watching Seasons 1 and 2, you notice that the only time Rick's really happy is spending time with Morty (and Summer). Well, maybe not so subtle as the show matures...

I'd argue he had a pretty good time with Unity.

Sure! I guess you can boil it down to spending time with people (or collectives) he truly cares about.

Nothing has made me want to watch this show as much as this clip, right here:
