In case people don't read the bigger thread, I am currently running Jackbox the first Friday of the month every Friday night at 7pm MDT. There is no limit on who can come, as long as you have Discord installed on your PC.

I just stream to Discord now, it has almost no latency so it's easier. We use the halforums discord.

Nope..Anna or someone will stream Jackbox, so you watch the stream. They have the game. You will use your browser to log into Jackbox.TV with a 4 digit code that links you to the game being streamed. You will use your browser to answer questions and play the games.

I haven't. And I decided not to join because I felt severely depressed tonight. So when I realized a lot of people would be either on voice or video, I just didn't have it in me to do the same.

I played What Remains of Edith Finch instead. That was a good choice because it was a GREAT game.

What I'd love to know is why it only happens with Discord, roughly around 2 hours of use. 3 1/2 hours on Google Home and it was fine. But it's also a 5-6 year old laptop.

I've noticed that discord is not particularly gentle with system resources. Especially CPU - it uses way more processor power than a simple chat program should (I suspect it's because their rendering engine for embedded media is not particularly optimized or elegant). Laptops' biggest heat generators are usually their CPU.

We're playing right now, and play every Friday at 7pm Mountain Time. All you would need is the Discord app (either on PC or a phone or w/e) to watch the stream (and be on Halforums Discord), and the ability to log in with a web browser at the same time.

For those who expressed interest last night (@Terrik @Cobra_Royality and possibly @Celt Z ), supposedly what should get you able to see the NSFW subforums on the forum list is to go into your optional forums settings (https://www.halforums.com/account/optional-forums ) and make sure they're highlighted in that list. Highlighting multiple in that list is kind of unintuitive I know - they don't toggle, you have to shift- or control- click to choose multiples, and the "select all" checkbox doesn't work. So basically if you just click the first one, scroll down, and shift click the last one, then click save, you SHOULD be good.

If that doesn't work, let me know, there might be something else I have to check on.

That has to be one of the most obscure of the ghostbusters quotes. I mean it's memorable, but I don't consider it too easily repeatable. Between Rick Moranis' delivery and the obscurity of the words being used I miss-hear a few of them. I think there is some confusion on if he says Torb or Torg for example.

Ugh, and apparently my OBS in windows 10 was set to record stuff into MKV instead of MP4 so Premiere can't open it. I have to convert the 3.6 gig file over into a format Premiere CAN read, first, and this will take 45 minutes to even attempt in handbrake and I don't know if it will even look good when it's done.

Just to start reminding people in advance, next week is the first Friday of May. This is what I currently have on my list of potential games to play:

1.) Jackbox like usual (we've kind of played this to death, but since it's been a month it might be ok)
2.) Among Us (Only doing this if we have 10, airship is way too big to play with less)
3.) Gartic Phone (One of my favorite drawing games, and it's a browser game so anyone can play)
4.) What the Dub?! (Can be played like Jackbox, about filling in subtitles for movie scenes)
5.) Project Winter (We haven't played this in a while, but you can set up custom rules to end the game if both imposters die, which might be more palatable)
6.) Pummel Party (Monetary barrier to entry, I have no idea if Steam Remote works for this or not, have not tried it)
