I wonder if he's going above and beyond, or if the park intentionally stations someone there to do that.
Certainly a long way from when water parks used to build bleachers at the bottom of speed slides so that men could sit and watch women lose their tops. I remember reading an official Disney guidebook back in the 90s that mentioned that was the reason there was seating at the bottom of the steepest slide in Typhoon Lagoon.
