I have been playing this for a week and one time, I got a 1024 tile.

One time.

I saw some goombas once...

Once you get the 2048 you can keep on playing for a super high score.

I found it during the 22 click challenge when I had to let the kingdom gather its own resources unattended over long periods.

Ironically, 3388 on Doge version. A mere 4 point improvement.

I think it was harder trying to remember if pizza came before or after rainbow, etc.

I can't get past about 6500 points, and have once managed to create a 1024 brick.

20940 24752, I won (i.e. got the 2048 square).

I used these rules I found somewhere:

- Work on getting a sequence in the rightmost column that is 2^n - 2^(n+1) - 2^(n+2) - 2^(n+3). That is, have each number be double the one on top of it.
- Use only right and down, and up only when it is necessary (I found a couple of strategies work with well placed 'ups')
- NEVER use left

It took me many tries though

Neat. Number versions are easier (for me), as one can tell which ones combine into which higher ones. Here I'm guessing half the time.
If I combine that Brazelton with that Brazelton I'll get a Lawyer, right...No. Damn. Oops. Rince and repeat :p

Here's an interesting variation on 2048: Fe[26]

Instead of simple doubling, it roughly follows stellar fusion reactions. The goal is to make stable iron. (Watch out for magnesium.)

So...What's the problem with Magnesium? Haven't gotten beyond Neon so far :p
It does nothing. It combines with nothing and does not decay, so it just sits there, taking up space.

Drowning comes abruptly, as you're immobilized by the freezing water, and can only stare in muffled silence as your existence comes to its pitiful end?

It... it's genius!

Oh my god.... is it possible to win?

Since it's a psa for life jackets, probably not.

GasBandit

Oh my god.... is it possible to win?
My mouse is one of those where I can disable the ratchet with a buttonpress. So I was basically flywheeling my scrollwheel up at 240+rpm constantly throughout, and I still drowned at 4:58.

Chad Sexington

I made it to 5:00... Poor Julien.

That second to last wall always gets me.
It gets a lot easier when you realize the amount of lead time you need, then you leave the mouse cursor in a spot where you know to click the mouse when the leading edge of the wall hits the cursor. It's still a challenge to get the timing right, though.

Me too. My girlfriend occasionally walks over to me and drops her phone in front of me with 2048 or 4096 on it. I've just stopped playing. haha

#76

LordRendar

LordRendar

the trick is to never swipe in one direction. I keep all my large numbers on the left, which means I can only swipe up,down and right. The largerst number is in the bottom left corner, the next largest numer on top of it and so on. At the beginning it wont make much sense, but as the numbers get higher nothing is more satisfying then having 128 128 256 512 1024 lined up.

#77

Dave

Dave

I do this. Then right after I get a 1024 I'll get stuck so I have to go that damned direction and poof, I'm done.
