[Gaming] Elder Scrolls 5 - Dawnguard is HERE!

I just use a shout at them if they are circling. I don't always hit, but it works better than archery. Man, I hate trying to hit a moving target in this game. Dragons are bad, but casters are worse. Last night I took a shot at a Vampire while I was hidden. When the arrow was halfway there, he jumped to his right about 40 feet.

The Dragonpriests are the absolute worst to target.

Two months ago, I installed, updated a whole bunch of mods. Among them I installed a Skyrim sex mod for the lulz. I never really figured out how to use it and forgot about it completely. Since so many people have been playing as of late due to the expansion, I decided to open it for the first time and let myself become immersed by the beautiful world again. Maybe I'll buy the expansion sometime soon after my honeymoon.

Within seconds, I accidentally clicked on an Apple on a vendor stand and stole it. Guard comes up, sword in hand with the usual "Pay for your Crimes speech". I notice a new speech option "Maybe I can some other way to pay for this crime." Intrigued, I click on it. Immediately both our clothes come off, guard and me both with our erect penises in the air. At this point.... I'm going WTF is going on.

GAWD NO, ANAL SEX.

It was JUST AN APPLE MAN.

This happens just as my wife comes down the stairs, my sound is loud and she immediately hears the moaning and groaning. She looks at my screen and watches two burly Nords FUCKING THE SHIT OUT of eachother in the middle of Whiterun while the children are frolicking about in the background then an old bearded man stopped walking and looked at my character on the ground and telling me his name and their rank in their family as if he was trying to pass an interview to be the next crime collector.

Wife looks at me right in the eye.

I didn't know what the fuck to say.

Jeez, so I downloaded all the top rated player housing mods to see if I liked any of them. I REALLY should have read a couple of those. There's one called Hydra's Evil Lair or something equally retarded that's one of the highest endorsed player housing mods on Nexus. It's disgusting. It's room after room of torturing the various female characters in the game and even features executions you can order. Obviously created by someone with some real fucked up issues with women. Now, that in and of itself isn't the part that bothered me. What bothered me was that it's one of the most popular, as in thousands of endorsements, mods in that category.

Gamers, we deserve ever ounce of scorn we receive you vile shit-stains.

So, playing some Skyrim tonight, go into the steam window to check something.

"This session you've played: 388 minutes"

Whaat? That can't be right.

*looks at clock*

..... oh shit

I get that a lot but I end up alt-tabbing, go to make a sandwich or something, getting a call from someone, leaving my house etc.

If I've been playing the same game on Steam for like a day straight, that's usually the culprit.

I don't normally shut down my PC or quit the game, so I show far over 1000 hours played in the game... Then I realize that is likely 2 hours for every 24 hours racked up is actual play time.

That's how I felt when I finished the Fighter's Guild quest. I can make Ancient Nord armor now? This would have been a good reward if I wasn't already wearing Steel Plate.

Actually, the worst part about the Royal Vampire armor is that it does look cool but doesn't come in an unenchanted form. Which is super lame.

Mods are awesome aren't they?

Take awesome Royal Vampire Armor and get a mod that strips them of enchants. Then put your own on it!

Spent a good chunk of time working through a dragon cult's temple. After I got out--dragon attack! Felt fitting since I'd just killed a priest and swiped his mask.

The best part of it was the dragon's death though. He landed on a cliff's edge and I put an axe to his head, sending him tumbling over. Watching him disintegrate into flaky embers just as he crashed at the bottom--beautiful.

...then my horse killed me.

So, completing Dawnguard has shown me something else. While the Soul Cairne was tedious and way too big, the Vale on the other hand is the most breathtaking scenery in Skyrim by magnitudes. Just, absolutely gorgeous.

Next DLC Xbox 360 sclusive for at least 30 days is Hearthfire, a paid collection of mods Beth has cribbed from the PC mod community.

Actually, this is a blessing I think. Bethesda's contract with Microsoft was for 2 30 day exclusive DLC. This is something obviously shat out in order to eat up the contract.

I was thinking, cool, cool, cool, wtf? raise your kids carefully?[DOUBLEPOST=1346174717][/DOUBLEPOST]But I want to buy a bandit lair after clearing it out, and build a Motte and Bailey on the sight...

I think it's actually cooler that Bethesda is actually paying the mod community for it's work.

Grrr... I built a really cool fighter/thief hybrid for Dawnguard, Stealth-Bow/2H sword, high speech, 100 smith and enchant...

Head of the Companions, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Completed the main Dawnguard quest...

MILD SPOILERS:

So now I am Level 45+, cruising around and killing dragons for sport... I decide to do the main kill the dragon quest. I get to the point where you do the council to do a truce while you capture the dragon... I do not want to do that, so I joined the Imperials and started taking out the Stormcloaks.

I get to the 2nd to last hold before the final battle. And I can no longer get Legate Rikka to give me the next quest. So now I have to go back and do the council now, and try to get Ulfric to give up Winterhold. Man that really pisses me off to not be able to work around the bug either. Not even the Console command to put me on the quest will work.
