A gallon of milk + gallon of partially melted vanilla ice cream + a gallon of Jim Beam is more doable than ...

25x Bourbon Milk Punch Recipe

2 oz. Good Quality Bourbon (I like Maker's Mark)
1/2 oz. Vanilla Extract
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1 oz. Heavy Cream
2 oz. Whole Milk
1/4 of 1 Egg White

Shake in single serving cocktail shaker.

That recipe still doesn't seem that hard to scale up with some basic arithmetic. I think sixpackshaker is just lazy.

Again if they both get you to the same place and same results and you are working in such large batches... why bother with a small recipe and adapt it when there is one in the target range? and all you need is a punch bowl and a spoon.

Also ramping up that recipe could get your guests sick with that much raw egg floating around.

Second day of nasty storms last night. Power at the hotel was mostly out before I even woke up, and completely out before I left the house. whole neighborhood was blacked out when I arrived. Came on about 15 minutes after I clocked in (mere seconds after I wrote a "Closed due to power outage" sign :p).

This morning, a guest I'd never laid eyes on or heard from before immediately started hassling me about how I intended to compensate him for his trouble last night. Wasn't interested that there was a power outage or that the power company might have had higher priorities than us. Expected the front desk to use their personal cell phones and funds to find him another hotel elsewhere.

I finally told him to take it up with God for bringing the storm down on us.

I related the story to the manager later, admitting I was less than pleasant with the guest once he started on me. Apparently she told another room the same "Take it up with God..." when they got mouthy to her last night. :D

You're in West Virginia, you could have blamed the gays/Obama/terrorists/moonshine runners.
That's what the candidates for office do here. They go suddenly silent when I ask them how any of that will fix the roads, improve the schools, or keep more miners from getting killed by Big Coal.

Moonshine runners? You mean independent alcohol distributors. lol

Clean coal. Careful, you don't want the coal industry to put a hit on ya.
The coal *industry* can go and fuck right the fucking fuck off. Especially today, the one year anniversary of the Upper Big Branch disaster.

That term "Friends of Coal"? Marketing bullshit by the Big Coal lobby. The mine owners. Folks like Don Blankenship and Massey Energy. The scum who openly buy themselves state Supreme Court judges (until told otherwise by SCOTUS), or post standing orders to ignore MSHA regulations or risk getting fired.

I'm not a friend of coal. I'm a friend of the MINERS. The people the Friends of Coal couldn't give two shits about.

So as part of my finalist work for the national young leaders contest I'm in, I have to participate in a 90 minute speech in front of 900 people.

That part wasn't mentioned to me at the beginning.

Bad idea: telling boss you fucking quit.

Worse idea: when asked to repeat yourself in front of witnesses, telling boss you motherfucking quit.

Worst idea: trying to play the gay card when filing a grievance. (hasn't happened yet, but 3... 2... 1...)

Just riddle me this, knucklehead. Does "teh gay" remove your ability to tell time? 4 hours late once would get most people fired without hesitation.

Does "teh gay" make you sit on you ass all night reading a book neglecting the duties you're supposed to do each night? Does "teh gay" cause a dire aversion to vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms?

You nuked your bridges from orbit, kid. And now I'm in ur shifts, stealin ur paychecks.

*insert violent and mysoginistic rant about new exgilrfriend here*

I just sold some software I wrote. Legally, it had to be sold through the university's licensing office since I invented it here. The university took a 62.5% cut for DOING NOTHING! I lost more than half the value of my work! I guess it beats industry, though. There I might've gotten a pat on the back and told it was just part of my job.
