It's mostly about online slacktivism. Something happens, you put a rainbow filter over your profile picture and feel like you're doing something.

1) I opened the image in its own window so I could adjust the zoom level, but no matter how much I zoomed, it didn't grow any new pixels.
2) CTRL+wheel is not universal.
