The video isn't so bad, but the dialog and its painful attempts at "with-it"-ness ruin any chance it had at being an effective teaching tool.

It's time for the ultimate test of friendship: I'm moving out to the new house. Only true friends will respond to the call to move furniture.

I really wanted to finish this manuscript first draft tonight and was just going to keep banging out pages until I hit the end, but I lost my momentum at the point I realized what I was writing was out of character and stupid. I got out 5,400 words, but I'm going to need to toss the bad 1,100 of that. I feel like I'm so close, but I've been so close for a while. I need to be done with this so my wife and I can go over how to make it good while I get back to my other project and finish it.

I doubt I'll get back to it tonight now that I've taken a break. So either tonight or tomorrow. Either way, it really has to be done this weekend. Some freelance work dropped into my lap through work and I don't want to either lose momentum on my own stuff or let it get in the way of an actual paid writing commission.

Guys, hey now, she didn't die or disappear! She's just on Canadian television.
There was a line from Made in Canada where Rick Mercer's character commented, "Movie stars never really go away. After movies, there's television, and after television, there's Canadian television."

Whoa that teacher turned his chair around backwards to sit on it! He must be cool!
Her assignments are weird sometimes. But to her credit, when I email her with a question, I get a timely response. Better than the last guy. I emailed her last night as I was working, and I saw this morning she'd emailed me back at 8 this morning. That's really nice. It must be kind of hard teaching a completely online class. we have synchronized chat sessions, but they don't work with everyone's schedules. So she must be drowning in emails.

Well... what are you still doing here? Go play Skyrim! There are dragons out there just waiting for you to suck out their souls!

Also, Panasonic smart TVs now come with banner ads that pop up every time you adjust the volume.

So.... won't be buying one of those.
