Game Series You Want More Of

Is there an old game series that you wish they'd start making more of again?

I started thinking the other day about Killer Instinct. I use to play the second one all the time when I worked at the local family fun center. I would kinda like to see an updated new game in that series.

-Battletoads
-Noctropolis
-Shadowgate, Deja Vu, The Uninvited (no necessarily those games, but maybe iPhone/Android remakes and a return to those style of games)
-Wing Commander

The games I most want to see more of never had sequels to begin with:

Grim Fandango
Psychonauts
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (which might be happening)
Planescape: Torment

Legacy of Kain... with the writers they used for Soul Reaver and Defiance

Seriously, it just needed one more game to finish the saga... damn you capitalism and the profit motive...

Lunar....

I would let Jay suck a dick for a real Lunar sequel.
For that you'll need to suck that dick.

Lunar is nice but not on MY list, it's on yours, now gimmie a duck face you white toothed latina.

This. i won't even read the other proposals. I want a new jagged alliance game so god damn much
Well you'll be surprised to know that another JA is in the works and there are rumors of a JA MMO as well.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action (a remake) - 1Q 2012
Jagged Alliance Online

Shadow Hearts.
I think Nautilus Manufacture folded a while back and now most of the staff works at Mistwalker. Even if they didn't, Aruze Corp still owns the rights and they mainly only make pachiniko machines. Someone would have to buy the rights from Aruze.

I actually liked From the New World, because it was just mechanically better overall and avoided a lot of the pitfalls that Covenant did. The story wasn't great, but it certainly played better.

I second the Legacy of Kain thing, but Amy Hennig works at Naughty Dog now writing Uncharted games so I doubt that'll ever happen with her writing it.

I want a new fucking Star Control game made by Fred Ford and Paul Reiche and the other guys at Toys For Bob who've been languishing in kiddy licensed game hell since Activision bought them.

More of a wish list :

- Chrono Trigger (best RPG of all time, best music)
- Final Fantasy (the old good style before they started to forcefeed us shit)
- Romance of the Three Kingdoms (the strategy game not the dynasty warrior shit)
- Lufia (before they started making SHITTY action-rpgs)
- Secret of Mana
- Earthbound
- Shadowrun
- Phantasy Star (not the ONLINE SHIT)
- Baldur's Gate (or any fucken game based on D&D that isn't developped by fucken morons)

Sorry but when my plan to bring the world to it's knees goes into effect all game development will be put on hold until a new Jagged Alliance comes out.

Then I will be deposed by mercenary scum.

I'm with ya on these :) Nintendo and SEGA both have some good/bad idea for Shadowrun. I didn't like the new PC/PS3 shadowrun :(

Chrono Trigger: There is no reason Square couldn't do this, except that some of the biggest minds behind it are at Mistwalker now.
Final Fantasy: I still say 12 was great.
Romance of Three Kingdoms: Didn't they make a PS2 one? I'm pretty sure they did.
Lufia - They stopped making good Lufia games after Rise of the Sinistrals. It was 2-3 crappy GBA games after that and they were pretty much like Lufia 2.
Secret of Mana: The last few kinda sucked. Legend of Mana was fun, but they didn't explain anything to you. The DS ones were just plain bad.
Earthbound: Never going to happen, mainly because Nintendo can't seem to make money off of them. Mostly because they are idiots.
Shadowrun: I'd kill for a KOTOR style Shadowrun game.
Phantasy Star: I never played this series... is it worth it to track them down?
Baldur's Gate: Did you not like the Neverwinter Nights games? I'd almost call Mask of the Betrayer the successor to Planescape: Torment.

How's this for a good combination: Shadowrun. By Bioware (Mass Effect, Dragon Age). Nuff said. *droooool*

I'd be honestly afraid to see a new Chrono Trigger, now. At the rate Square Enix is going, it'll be a 70-hour movie with five minutes of gameplay.

Earthbound honestly should be a bigger franchise than it is. The problem, I think, is that it feels like it's an American-set RPG, but done in Japan. That's speaking as a big fan of the original.

I'd kill for a new Chrono Trigger, though. Then again, I don't know. I didn't like Chrono Cross at all.

No, the problem is...

- They have trouble with the music rights, mainly because some of the songs sound REALLY similar to more famous tunes.
- Reggie hates it.
- No one is quite sure how to market it to Americans. This should have been very evident with the "This game REALLY stinks" promotion they did for Earthbound.
- Nintendo takes forever to get it localized. One of the biggest reasons we didn't get Mother 3 is because it came out so late in the life of the GBA.

Final Fantasy: I still say 12 was great.
No.

Romance of Three Kingdoms: Didn't they make a PS2 one? I'm pretty sure they did.
They don't quite a few and I own them all, beyond ROTK 7-8 though, they are all lacking, X on PC and is OKish but they all feel... incomplete.

Lufia - They stopped making good Lufia games after Rise of the Sinistrals. It was 2-3 crappy GBA games after that and they were pretty much like Lufia 2.
Like? Bad wording, they were no where close. That's like saying Dragon Age 2 is like Dragon Age Origins.

Earthbound: Never going to happen, mainly because Nintendo can't seem to make money off of them.
I'm currenting playing Mother 3 on my PSP with an emulator, it's been good so far but just started it.

Phantasy Star: I never played this series... is it worth it to track them down?
Absolutely, try an emulator of Phantasy Star 4 on the Genesis and take it from there.

Baldur's Gate: Did you not like the Neverwinter Nights games? I'd almost call Mask of the Betrayer the successor to Planescape: Torment.
NWN games never felt like D&D, just D&D in spirit. They got classes, they got skills but essentially is not the D&D experience I love and expect. They are OK games. NWN 1 was nice because it offered worlds that DM can create but I still feel it was no where close to what I was expecting.

Best game ever made deserves a real sequel. Not the shit Accolade made with the IP after they ousted Toys for Bob.
