I was kinda interested in Carrion, until I learned that there's no in-game map. Why would you make a Metroidvania without any sort of auto-map feature?

Ghost of Tsushima is a bit... better about this? Like, yes... it still has a shitload of marks and locations to visit but something like half of them are just for cosmetic items. You want to do the Fox Dens for upgrades but the Pillars don't make you better. It's also generally good about putting some stuff nearby mission locations or towns (like bamboo strikes or hot springs).

Apparently, it's a VERY short game. I played the demo when it was available I think last year and honestly, it just didn't do it for me.

I beat Super Metroid in under 4 hours my first time playing it. Paid $50 for it. Still one of my favorite games of all time.

EDIT: It had a map, though.

I was 7 years old the last time I beat DKC, it took me roughly a year to reach King K Rool, it took me a week of playing every day after school to defeat him....I did it on my first try tonight upon reaching him in 3 nights of playing. well little Bones you grew into a hell of a gamer!

I guess knowing really is half the battle.

Thank you PlayStation for finally making a wired controller.

Why wasn’t this a thing so many years ago?

I am the worst at keeping controllers charged.
