Halforums Academy 2 Story Commentary Thread

There's an interaction between YouTube and the media plug-in here on the forum where if you click on the preview to start the movie, it will tell you the video is unavailable. But if you explicitly click on the video title, it will take you to the YouTube page and play it there. I assume this is because YouTube is unhappy that people are playing their videos embedded on other sites, somehow messing up some part of their tracking/ad serving stuff.

View attachment 33313

If you click the video itself out of habit and get YouTube's "Aww, too bad!" message, just refresh the page to reload the thumbnail and try again.

They're afraid your video is going to damage tender, young minds.

Just clicking the "media could not be played - retry" button works, too.

So, I found another "meme" dance routine that I'm thinking about making a video of, but it's a bit on the lewd side... In fact it's referencing something I've actually posted in the NSFW subforum in my "House of Filth" thread.

It might be time to break ol' Krusty out of retirement.

Dude, you've got to come up with a better nickname for it. Even "little floppy" was better than that.

Alright, so this one's suitable for general audiences...

This one, well, maybe don't show Lil' Z this one, Keltsy.

It does show the progression of my skirt-making skill, though, which is kinda interesting. I made Li Jun first, and her skirt moves like posterboard. Dei and Kags came next, and their skirts are basically copy-pastes of one another... they move better but have clipping issues. And finally Celt Z's actually sways like fabric, but has those darned flipping issues.

I agree, that's pure filth. Look at all those hips clipping through skirts!

You know, I'm watching "Ghost Dance" and thinking, "I don't think this is that bad for Li'l Z to...ah, there it is."

If I had been completely faithful to the source material, everybody would have been completely naked after the first krusty appearance.

And you know what? I kind of think that would have been preferable. I consider titillating nudity to be a whole lot less icky than clothed upskirts.

The guy who goes to the strip club is a normal guy. The guy who puts a camera on his shoes and gets on the subway is a fucking creep.

Well, consent and all that.

But wouldn't Youtube flag this if they went au naturel? Also, given the issues with clipping, less clothes and more body parts might become body horror, not titillation.

If somebody reported it, yeah :p but it's unlisted! I could also just host the mp4 on my own webhosting.

As for clipping, it's the skirt that is the problem. If I got rid of the skirt, there'd be no clipping at all. More than once over the years of making these videos, I have caught myself wishing "Man, I should have used the version of the models in their gym clothes instead of skirts."

It's all moot anyway... the hard drive crash I experienced earlier this year took AA2 and my HFA2 saves with it, and even if it didn't, I'd have to completely rebuild each nudie or gym clothes model from the ground up, which takes ~2 weeks per model (at least at my amateur skill level). That's a LOT of work just for 45 seconds of softcore hentai.

Just some fancy footwork that never quite made it into a full video, but I thought was worth seeing in a small clip.

Don't forget to click sound and switch SD to HD.

It's a small thing but I am amused that Keltsy spends the whole video looking down as if she needs to see her feet to be able to do the dance, while the taller Shakey (that is Shakey, right?) can do it while being distracted by stealing glances at Keltsy's chest.

You sure it's safe having all three teachers together like that?

As an aside, I just love how 3D rendering programs almost all seem to do that momentary "I was just dropped here from orbit" simulation bit for the first second or two while whatever physics engine fights with the initial position of the model.

I will still hum that out of the blue for no discernible reason. Usually it's the "psycho dog" part that intrudes, unbidden, into my thoughts.

Man, MMD is the well I keep coming back to.

I guess it eases the sting of there never being an AA3 to make HFA 3 with.

Oh, so this is how you're choosing to die.
I told him to do that like a month ago, and clearly his annoyance at me not wanting to be deepfaked culminated into him finally doing it.

What I really need is someone who wants to take my money to make me a nice 3d avatar for this kind of rigging. ;)

Oh yeah, I should probably crosspost this over here, too, given that not everybody monitors the Anime thread.

Oh hey look at that. Avex Pictures put out a movement data file for the "official" coreography of the Ya Boy Kongming OP dance :D

I'm surprised at how much of the "set" I remember from the HFA vids.

--Patrick
Wait a minute, I only reused one location from previous vids there... the dark rooftop. I dunno where you "remember" the other ones because I never got around to using them.

Was pretty sure there's at least one scene at the front gates (0:05). I think I was conflating 0:57 with the gymnasium. Yes I remember 1:20 as the rooftop of DOOOOM. And I think I conflated the glimpse of the stairs at 1:28 with the stairwell where so many things took place.

That's actually a completely different front gate/building as has been used previously (Most notably in the "Little Apple" video with Terrik and Jun) - that one's a different building with an open gate and a storefront across the street, and no sakura trees lining the path. This one's a little more... cinematic? I dunno.

Although, I do think a different part of the office building used here is actually what was also used for the "hallway" backdrop for the Scottish Elevator sketch with Shakey and Wasabi.
