Halforums Academy 2 Story Commentary Thread

I find it completely unacceptable and improper that someone would get a second day for any reason whatsoever! Absolutely wrong! Horrible! In bad taste! Insupportable! A blasphemy against the rules of HFA2! Also, I don't care in the slightest and think that getting a Sunday as your only day sucks balls and is a little unfair.

Ok, I replayed day 21 until it got a LITTLE less lame, but still short as hell. I'll bundle day 21 and 22 together, I think.

I wonder if I should roll a student. Something tells me a slot will soon be opening up. Those recent beatdowns will have repercussions. :hide:

Well, I wasn't looking really, but if anybody (especially PatrThom) has suggestions, I'm willing to entertain them.
(trying to reconstruct this from memory after the rewind)
Well, I might've, except that you left off the "@," so I never knew you had asked. ;) I've been avoiding this thread, since with all I've got going on, I haven't been caught up since day 14, I just spent Sun night going through them all and catching up. I don't know, maybe Mr. Roboto for the karaoke segment? Or if you were just looking for "going on about his business" music (or just something in general less of a copyright target), you might've tried Leroy Anderson's "The Typewriter."
Yay! Goober survived until his hand-of-fate day! That should be some kind of achievement. Incidentally, I know that the game is designed for entertainment, and that you tend to play the hand of fate for teh lulz (within the constraints of the characters), but it's downright unnerving to see how much Goober's experiences run parallel to my own. Tsundere, indeed! I can't begin to tell you how many times I ended up being the fun+1 in situations where it would have been more of a hassle for me to leave, so I'd end up having to stay. Even the break-up echoes one of my college break-ups.

I think I figured out the secret to how to be successful at this school:
1) Get in good with the teacher. Then,
2) Stay the Hell away from the teacher.
I don't know what agency this school gets these teachers from, but that agency sorely needs to have its credentials audited.

Also, the metavideo is at least as entertaining as the videos themselves. Please keep it up, you're doing a highly entertaining job of it.

I am working on Lana's episode. It's slow going, and I'm burning (or rather blowing) through tissues like crazy. Stupid Texas springtime pollenbombs.

Alright, the date day is done, and as I suspected, even with as much padding as I could think to provide without producing my own major motion freakin' picture for a date montage or something, it was less than 4 (including opening credits) minutes long. Soooo it will segue directly into day 22.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply it'd be done any time soon. The problem with the videos getting cool is they also take longer. I'm most of the way through day 22's morning. And, like I said, allergy season hasn't helped.

Also, it is astonishing how much better the episode looks on my tv via chromecast than it did in a chrome tab on my pc. Huh.

Pretty cool stuff, and worth the extra effort you applied, Gas. Thanks for all this!

Jeez... the (former) Hall Monitor ain't popular... who'da thunk it?

It's interesting to watch the popularity, actually. It seems those who got most popular the quickest took a sudden nose-dive midway through. My guess is it is something to the effect of courting everybody made their popularity rise at first, but when they finally did choose a mate (or two), the others got bitter.. then you have a breakup, which dumps it even further.

When this whole thing is said and done, I'm toying with the idea of cooking up a convoluted venn diagram of the cliques.

I also have other end-of-semester ideas kicking around, but they involve needing to finish the school crest, especially that latin translation.
