About to post my picture of the day on facebook. A friend has posted a link that says "Don't marry a man who does any of these things!"

...Okay, I'll bite, friend. They're all pretty obvious-- if he beats you, emotionally abuses you, doesn't contribute... but nestled between these horrible offenses is... watches porn.

*starts singing one of these things is not like the other*
This is an odd one for me. Becuase porn messes with your mind. And does contribute to how those who watch it view, particularly, women.

Other peeps have put it better than me:

Gia Londo:
When a man watches a woman get fucked on screen, he sees his conquest, his fuck doll, his wet-dream inspired perfect sex object, served up for him on a silver platter, gift wrapped and ribboned, ready for his consumption. But a woman- she sees herself. She masturbates to her own objectification, commodification, dehumanization and sexual punishment. She masturbates to ‘shut up and take it, slut’. She masturbates to ‘I’ll shove two dry fingers in your cunt, that’ll teach you’. She masturbates to ‘this is what your body is for. A vessel for my cock. A meal to chew up and spit out. A body to wipe drool and semen on. This is who you are’.
Cindy Gallop:
Because we don’t speak about sex, there is no socially acceptable language surrounding it. So the language of porn has jumped in to fill that space, and that’s an issue, because in a male-dominated industry the language of porn is all too often male-generated. The person who coined the term “finger blasting” didn’t have a vagina. The person who coined the term, “getting your ass railed” never got their ass railed. Pounding, hammering, banging… And language matters, because when the only language you have available is abusive and one-directional, in terms of having things done to you, it creates a very weird view of how sex works.

Now, is that what the post you're referring to was concerned about... meh.. probably not. But. That doesn't mean that porn use should be uncritically accepted... or rejected.

Porn is a "male dominated industry"? Maybe in it's consumption and direction, but women are, by far, the real power players in the American porn industry. Not only are they more free from their commitments and receive far more compensation as actors than male porn stars, most of the bigger production companies are owned and operated by women (often former stars themselves) and small operations (like web cam shows or tailor made videos) are virtually all run by independent women. About the only place they aren't in charge is as directors and even that's slowly changing.

Did you get tracking?
No I mean it's still in my garage. I listed it with shipping as the buyer's responsibility. Last time he actually answered a message he said he was going to use uShip.

He stopped answering messages but he did pay in full. However I really don't want this thing around anymore now that it legally belongs to someone else.

Charge him storage.

In California and other places, if you're storing the vehicle because he hasn't picked it up, you can conduct a lien sale on reasonable storage fees, reclaim the vehicle (if no one buys it from the lien sale), and sell it again.

If such redress (or something similar) is legal where you live, I'd write the owner, include a bill for storage, and then declare your intent to sell the vehicle via a lien sale. That may get him to get off his ass and have the thing taken off your property. Of course, you'll want to do your research and have all your ducks in a row, so you don't mess something up along the way.

We don't do presales, we get sent home with a ton of cookies and get told to sell them or else pay for them out of pocket. :(

Sales go on for six weeks, but you can only return extra cookies for the first two weeks. Beyond that, we aren't "allowed" to presell, which I believe is a council thing.

Returning is such a hassle our troop isn't doing it this year. But they said we only had to start with what we sold last year, last year we sold 80 boxes, and they gave us 144. /sigh

Find a scout who has a 19 year old sister, put HER in the girl scout uniform, and send her over to the Air Force Academy down in COS. Watch those boxes evaporate. Or maybe send hubby to hit up the CU dorms around midnight or so...

Thanks. I was wondering if something like that might be possible. I'll check if Texas has something similar.

Here's the law:
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/TN/htm/TN.683.htm

Relevant portions of law:
The vehicle is abandoned if it "has remained on private property without the consent of the owner or person in charge of the property for more than 48 hours;"

It looks like since you're not a "Commercial storage facility", you probably can't do it yourself but will have to have it removed by another agency. A call to DPS should clear up any doubt as to what your remedies are.

The good news is if you just want it off your property, and the DPS seize it, it looks like they will take care of all of the notifications to the new owner and stuff before they auction it off, making less of a headache for you.

Man, it had been like 3 + years since I first heard a bit of this song in Sons of Anarchy and a little less than that when it was used in Hell on Wheels. It got no official release.

It's a legit good Beck song and I finally got to hear the full thing today.

Only Kanye is awesome enough to fuck Kanye.

And why does my phone autofill Kanye with Lantern cause that's frickin hilarious.

In all seriousness though, my brain has set up this defense mechanism wherein everytime my daughter starts sassing me, I find it hilarious and start laughing, which really only serves to escalate the issue. I swear I try really hard not to laugh, but when a 9 year old girl is trying to assert that I am not allowed to clean her room unless she is there watching me (and not helping), or tells me that she doesn't have to go to bed on a school night because she's not tired, all I can do is laugh.
