I always assumed it was a comparative reference. Most outhouses would be built of wood or plastic. A brick one would be uncommonly sturdy, very well built compared to the rest of its ilk.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. "Built like a brick shithouse" means "extremely well built, almost overbuilt".

...Seeing "built" used so frequently makes it look weird.

"Built like a brick shit house with every brick in place" was how I grew up hearing it. It didn't seem an odd compliment to me at the time. Probably because my grandmother always called me a "little shit" as a kind of term of endearment. It's no wonder I'm in therapy.

Ech. Ash's day didn't actually turn out particularly interesting. I'm considering rolling it back and trying again. Getting social interactions was like pulling teeth, and I got the idea that I "just missed" a lot of interesting things going on a screen or two over that ended right as I got there. Bleh. I shot by far the most raw footage of any day so far, but I have a feeling if I edit it down, it'll be short. like maybe 6 minutes short, and not even the best 6 minutes of the game so far.

Yeah, I think I just talked myself into trying it again.

More, actually. The day stretches out as I try to find something interesting to happen, bloating the amount of raw footage. I guess it does make for less narrating, though.

Well, we'll see what I feel like tonight. Maybe I'll go ahead with it, but looking at the data, important things happened but I just wasn't in the right place to witness it.
