They cancelled so many neat Mega Man games that were near completion (Legends 3, etc). Just finish one of those.

[DOUBLEPOST=1370989280][/DOUBLEPOST]Not going to bother with most of the Nintendo stuff, same old IP shit.

Oh don't get me wrong, there's solid titles in those genres both on and not on WiiU. I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with Nintendo revisiting their usual IPs considering the general quality they crank out, compared to other IP rehashes like Battlefield/CoD/sports titles.[DOUBLEPOST=1370992026][/DOUBLEPOST]
That's I'd post a trailer of, not Mario BLA BLA 9.

Why the fuck am I being judged?
... because you're there. You expressed an opinion and expected anything else? Are you new at this internet thing?

Plus, as the old biblical saying goes, judge not lest... I'd say you've got a lot of back judgement coming your way. So there's no use feeling besieged.

You filth.

Damnit Square, I want out. Don't make this game look fun again, please.

Yeah they really need to stop calling those Final Fantasies and give them a new IP name. They're just using NPCs we know and tossing them into a very non FF style of world. It's so ridiculously off putting. Might as well call it Spirits Within and be done with it.

Then again, everytime they do this (Last Remnant) the game fails miserably.

Yeah, I mean it's nice to be excited for an RPG again, really. But I'm so leery of SE, and to top it off a game that's technically been in development for what, almost 10 years (when it was still Versus)?

I can deal with it not being a normal JRPG. 11, 12, and 14 were all nonstandard JRPGS. For me, this only needs to do three things.

- Be fun (because 13 sure as fuck wasn't)
- Be creative
- Give me a story with characters I actually care about (again, 13... I hated ALL of them.)

If it can give me those three things, I'll accept it as the new installment.

This is pretty much how I see it. It's going to have to deliver pretty spot-on though, considering the current track record. I'm even a bit hesitant on KH3, even though the main installments both still hold up pretty well.

And 11 and 14 were MMOs and both failed (11 in the US, 14 overall). 12 is still the only FF i've never been able to stomach to finish.

So I went and pre-ordered a PS4. Talking with the guy, they had about equal pre-orders for both the playstation and the xbox, which surprised both of us. He did say that they had been given a 6 console limit that was later raised to 8 for the xbox and none was given for the playstation. Only reason I can think of doing that is so everyone can start reporting that they are sold out. It might be that supply will be limited but who knows.

Wait, I don't get it... is 400 Days Season 2, or is it the extra episode for Season 1? They weren't clear about that.
Telltale has an FAQ up for the game
In short:
- $5
- Tells five short stories, each centering around a different survivor (not Lee or Clem)
- Meant to add a bit of connection between Season 1 and the upcoming Season 2
- Same type of gameplay
- Choices in S1 effect 400 days, both of which will effect S2
- Not a stand-alone title, requires S1 to purchase

I figured that was the case for a few reasons...

- One of the guys in the trailer looks exactly like one of the Cancer Survivor group from Savannah.

- Russell (guy with the backpack) looks like he's walking down the same road you stop at during Episode 3. Look at the bodies on the side of the road.

- Isn't that Kenny's truck that drives by Russell in the trailer?

In any case, I'll definitely be picking it up. Hoping for the inevitable TF2 item as well.

The Nintendo stuff has me exited. Yeah most of the good stuff isn't due out next year, but I have my system and I'm ready to go for when it does. In the meantime I still have a 360 and a PS3 to fill the gap between virtual console releases, Windwaker, Wonderful 101, and a few of the other releases this year to tide me over.

What do I think of the other consoles? Well I'm certainly not interested in an XboxOne at this time. The restrictions are just too insane for me to have any faith that it's going to be worth it. PS4 may be more worth it, but certainly not right out of the gate. I'll probably give the systems a year, which seems like a good amount of time for the prices to drop and there to be a pretty reasonable exclusive game gallery to select from.

That surprised me as well

I mean is there really enough people still buying new PS2 games to justify making it for the PS2. I find it especially interesting since they are not releasing it for the Wii U or the 3DS.
