Well, since you asked... NPR gave it a middling review saying that it's a good album but it's clearly 2 great guys doing music without really pushing themselves. I'm curious as I have recently gotten into both Jay-Z and Kanye. I prefer Jay Z though overall. He's just... so damn badass.
I'll probably have to pick this up.

I was thinking of picking this up too. Everything I've heard about it makes it seem great.

The lyrics are a little less ambitious than My Twisted Dark Fantasy, but some of the production/beats are a lot better. I'm really bad at talking about music in intelligent terms.

Fuck Kanye

I haven't heard it yet, but it'll be hard for Kanye to top Twisted Dark Fantasy. I think Kanye if a fucking pretentious douchebag, that thinks he's some great musical genius. And what I really hate is that he might be right.

I had the complete opposite reaction.

I'm starting to like the lyrics a lot the more I listen to this.

I also am finding that I don't skip any tracks on this at all. While with MBTDF, I was skipping Devil in a New Dress and Blame Game after a few listens.

Only CD I ever listened to without skipping a track was the first Marcy Playground album.
