The Women's NCAA bracket committee is MUCH better than the men's.

Both the Women's and Men's tournaments are going on in NCAA basketball. The first round is 32 games. The Men's committee went 21-11. In other words, 11 out of 32 underdogs beat better seeded teams.

For the Women, the committee went 31-1 with only 1 lower seed winning.

It doesn't mean anything for the most part, but I thought it was interesting.

You say it doesn’t mean anything but it actually is indicative of the biggest problem with women’s basketball: the talent is super concentrated in the top few teams so there are way fewer huge upsets, which is a big part of the fun of the tournament.

We were just discussing this very thing tonight at work. Essentially the talent is much deeper and widespread in the men’s side of things while women athletics still lags behind in participation and competition.

I think it’s also that the best male recruits are only in college for one year so the men can have experience beat sheer talent but the women stay longer so they have both.
