I am not surprise. It is temping to rig such a thing. I don't think there is a "anti-rig" device you could ever make that someone couldn't circumvent.

I'm sure the Democrats will be blamed somehow in this.

Perhaps you could start by not using unverifiable counting machines ;)

They were going to win the election, and that's just not right! The Republicans were just correcting a wrong!

Politicians doing shady things... news at 11.

The real story here is that they actually got caught...

this. sadly election fraud is as old as gerrymandering in this country.

Gerrymandering is my provinces specialty. At one point, most of the seats in my home city of Edmonton belonged to the Liberals. To correct for this, the Conservative provincial government split up large rural districts and attached them to Edmonton city districts, this swayed the vote by a huge margin in the Conservatives favour, thus utterly destroying the Alberta Liberal party's already meager base. Seriously, it's like 70 to 8 in our Legislature.

hmm . . . I'm trying to think of a joke about gerrymandering all of Ontario's ridings into voting for Chretien. I want to work in something about pie, Bono, and Belinda Stronach and pie, but nothing's coming to mind. Ah well. Next time.

let me just say that if I were to start a rock band, we'd be called Jacques Parizeau and the Ethnics.
