Here's hoping you all are having a nice time visiting with loved ones. Take care and may you eat tons of food this day of eating excess!

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends and anyone else who decides to take advantage of this day. May you have many leftovers but not so much that you get sick of them by the third day.

We're going to some good friends' house in New York for T-day. My kids are excited to check out Manhattan.

I'm thankful our financial situation is getting better on my end.

I'm thankful people are reading my stories and buying my books, especially to the people who've done so from this forum, because I've probably pissed each of them off at least once.

I'm thankful that my family is safe and sound this year.

Most of all, I'm thankful for my wife. No one has any idea the level of shit she puts up with living with me (though I know she'd say it's the other way around). More to the point, she's attentive and kind, and annoying and sloppy, and beautiful whether she knows it or not. She uses me as an excuse to get out of things (I'm so proud), she helps me whenever she's able. We can talk for hours about Greek myth or video games, and she reminds me how awesomely geeky she is when we go into a game store and she tells people about her Skyrim characters. She gets upset that I do most of the heavy lifting around the house, but she can't understand how much more she keeps me going emotionally. I love her in all her happy, bitchy, depressed, gentle, silly, crazy moods and no matter how I complain about her sometimes, I wouldn't want to be without her.

I've already eaten and ready to burst. Too much food to know what to do with. Also June's first Thanksgiving. At a Texas restaurant. Called Bubba's. Yeehaw.

Also my 4th year in a row not celebrating it with family at home >_< But! A good time nonetheless.

A texas restaurant shouldn't have an angels flag.

And I'll just be doing the classic dinner. Should be fun.

Only family in town is Mom, and she doesn't eat turkey per doctor's orders. And I have to work overnights tonight and tomorrow.

Just another work day for me. :(

Most of my family has converged on my sister's house six hours away from where I live and both the wife and I have to work tomorrow, so it's a day off, but nothing big.

Though apparently my wife wants to go to Subway for Thanksgiving dinner. I ... guess we can?

Oh god... why did I eat this much. The human body isn't meant to contain this much food.

...

I think there's pie left.

Well folks, if I die from a cholesterol-induced heart attack tonight, please know I considered you all my friends! :sohappy:

That tiramisu...let me just say that I had neighbors who were supposed to come for dessert, but they cancelled. I do not care in the least because it is so good I don't want to share.

Dinner was good, as was dessert. Staying upstairs so I don't go raid the fridge for leftovers.

Got invited to my academy buddy's in-laws for Thanksgiving. Got a mild buzz, ate a lot of good food, and made a bunch of rednecks amused by the fact that I told 'em I'd never been hunting before. The pressure's on for me to get my license now. *grins*

Man isn't that tough if you cook it correctly.
