Pumpkins n'Stuff

Got a pumpkin this year, and I'm trying my hand at carving the sucker up.

All the stencils in a little carving kit I bought today were lame, so lame. So I'm doing this (sort of) freehand. I've got very little in the way of artistic talent, so this has all the makings of tuning out to be a disaster.

So far it hasn't been too bad. Figured it would be a lot less time consuming, maybe 20 minutes tops. HAHA NO.

This is all I've done today, probably an hour in so far.

Progress is SLOW.

So go ahead and post other halloween decorations/miscellanea in here if you want to, ya crazy kids.

This was my guy last year. I suck at this stuff so I was kinda proud of how he came out. I imagine the wound was self-inflicted.

This is a pumpkin I did a few years ago based on a Calvin face....

.... the best part is when I took the photo with a flash, a palmetto bug had crawled up into it's squinty eye, so it looks like its reacting to the bug lol
