The guy who came up with the idea is an awesome woodworker ( http://www.bealltool.com/jrbeall/
) who makes his own tools ( http://www.bealltool.com/ ). Approached me some years ago, we discussed his idea, and I figured out how to make it. He got the patent based on my design, and then needed it to be cheaper so he sent what I made to an Asian firm. They redesigned it for cost, and it's been sold in a few woodworking catalogs for a few years. Tonight I was browsing through a catalog I started getting recently, and stumbled across my own product - it was neat to see it again, though I knew it was already being sold all over. I still haven't purchased one - got a few prototypes here, but I suppose I'll have to get one eventually. He's got a bunch of other ideas, but I just don't have time... :waah:
