I'm thankful for:

1. family, friends (you silly folks included) and health
2. this break, which I'm using to plan lessons and write
3. my education (voice, culinary, and elementary ed)
4. old-smelling books
5. weird bugs on the sidewalk that I cannot identify
6. coffee
7. Leon, my stringed companion
8. pretty much any Paul Giamatti movie
9. my students and coworkers
10. Aleve
11. rollerball pens
12. Tom Waits
13. the diaries that my mom talked me into keeping
14. my kitchen
15. Zapp's chips
16. my comic book collection
17. the heavy southern air
18. daisies
19. soda water with lime in it
20. spicy food
21. the rock climbing place by my apartment
22. a quiet neighborhood to walk in
23. playing cards
24. Family gatherings that last all day and night

These are some things that make up the happy/crazy/memorable moments in my life. How about you?

oooh, I miss getting Zapp's Chips. I brought six bags to a tailgate party once at Reliant Stadium. My friend told me not to bring them because these tailgaters were basically gourmet cooks. I found some unused bowls, and laid all the chips out...

They were all gone in 30 minutes.

Augh, I'm so used to lumping all loved ones together in lists like this, since they're such a given. But yes.

Things I'm thankful for, in no particular order:
- A wonderful family that takes care of me, when I can't myself
- Music and some nice headphones to listen to it with
- The huge improvement in my health in the last year (even if this week has been crap)
- - The ability to exercise hard enough to sweat, and recover by the next day (sometimes)
- Happy kitties
- A backlog of awesome games waiting to be played
- Halforums
- Friends that I can share my troubles with
- The awesome stuff that cosplayers tweet about
- Video/TV via the internet
- A working computer
- The grace and blessings of God
- The hope of even better days to come
