When I try to download files from http://uploaded.net it always gives me a 2mb .exe link (which I reject) I am also noticing more suspicious adds on the pages and other pages as well.

That sucks. Is there a reason you have to use them? That would make me leave them right away.
I have no idea why I would need to download the .exe first

I think the only advice I can give would be to not use uploaded.net then...

Why not just use Dropbox? That would be my suggestion. Not that that helps you, but if a site gave me spam or unwanted files I'd be noping right out of there.
