I'll kick it off with probably one of my absolute favorites, from last year's Undercover:

fucking ridiculously good.

Now your turn and go

I won't pretend and say I have any kind of taste in music, but back when Tarja Turunen was still in the band, this song rocked my socks off...

You know, you listen to the original NIN version of the song and you feel like maybe that Reznor guy knows what pain really feels like. Then you listen to Johnny Cash's version and you can't help but think, "The fuck you know about pain Trent?"

Nightwish is still awesome. Or was in 2008. I haven't listened to the one they released this year.

So many disagrees. The original beats the shit out of this version. Sorry :(

I don't think a cover has to be better than the original to still be good. Otherwise no one would be cover Hallelujah.

Well, duh. I'm saying that that version, in my opinion, is bad. A good cover, like any good adaptation, should both pay respects while creating a unique spin on that source. Sometimes covers happen that are just inessential or bad.

It's like every other night asy ou drive down the strip, out looking for love in all the wrong places. Headlight glancing off rain puddles in a pockmarked street as underfed women of the night try to peddle their world weary wares to an indifferent whistler.

It's a cold world, Tin, m'boy, and it won't get any warmer if you keep playing these games.

I stopped listening when they kicked Tarja out. I know she probably had it coming; something about her boyfriend trying to cash in on the band's rep or something. But goddammit, that mewling Swede they have as their lead singer now does not hold a candle to the hauntingly beautiful, nigh-operatic voice of Tarja.

Disagree. The new girl may not have the vocal depth, but she still sounds great and Dark Passion Play was probably the best music Tuomo has written for the band.

Haven't heard the new album though and for all I know it's gone downhill since 2008.
