DISCO!

GasBandit

The beaten, unwanted stepchild of music has grown on me secretly since I was young. It's not hard to see how a lot of modern pop, Eurodance, and EDM has roots in Disco.

So what are Disco tracks that you enjoy? I'll start with a few:

The Trammps - Disco Inferno
Parliament - Flashlight
Olivia Newton John - Xanadu, Let's Get Physical
Lipps Inc - Funkytown
Kool & The Gang - Get Down On It
KC & The Sunshine Band - I'm Your Boogie Man

I don't know if this counts, but screw it.
(I believe this was released right about the time that Guardians Vol 2 came out, to promote it.)

This puts ABBA in a really weird position.

How about some meta-disco?

I might, if I were looking to cast doubt on it being an April Fool's joke... :shifty:

The music I identified with the most growing up was in-part a rebuttal to disco. So, thanks Disco?

Does this count?

That's the Bee Gees, definitive Disco.

Duplicitous GasBandit? In my Halforums?
That's the Bee Gees, definitive Disco.
I mean, its Disco pedigree is hanging out for all to see, right there on the cover:

I am actually old enough to remember our 8 track Disney Disco. This was a favorite.

We had that and some Muppets 8 track tape.

The album I have has that on it also. I would wait by the radio for it to come on, that and Deodato's version of "Also Sprach Zarathustra."
I am actually astonished nobody has posted any Panic at the Disco.
As if!

How about a couple more:

Dschingis Khan - Moskau
ABBA - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)

Heh. Considered putting Moskau in there but figured Rasputin was practically the same thing, musically.
