Games on SALE!

Just a heads up: That Dead Island + DLC deal is a better deal than the Game of the Year edition they are releasing soon by like 10 bucks. The only thing you won't get out of it is the Ripper Mod, which really isn't that useful later on anyway.

I'm going to be away from the internet for an indefinite period, so I won't be able to maintain this thread for a while, probably a month or two. (Which means I'll probably miss the Steam summer sale. :() Sorry about that, and see you when I get back.

Green Man Gaming Birthday deals:

Alien vs Predator 5.99 (70% off) - redeems on Steam
Arcania: Gothic 4 9.99 (50% off) - No Steam as far as I can see
Football Manager 2012 13.57 (66% off) - redeems on Steam
Sonic 4 - Episode 2 10.94 (26% off) - redeems on Steam
THQ 5 Pack - Dawn of War 2, Saints Row 2, Company of Heroes, Metro 2033, Red Faction: Guerilla 30.94 - redeems on Steam

That THQ pack has some pretty bitchin' games on it. In fact, all of them are wonderful games with the exception of Saints Row 2 and that's only because of the subpar PC port.

The controls are pretty bad in PC SR2, and the graphics aren't as good obviously as SR3, but SR2 is a much longer game, and in my opinion, probably more fun to be had in co-op.

Steam One Day:
Metro 2033 - 4.99 (75% off)

Steam Free Weekend and Sale: Civilization 5
Civ 5 GOTY - 12.49 (75% off)
Vanilla Civ 5 - 7.49 (75% off)

Here's a little something I noticed on Green Man
Disciples 2: Gold Edition - Free as fuck until Saturday, just download away. Only downside is it doesn't redeem on Steam and it requires Green Man's capsule thingy to run. So, a little bit of a Trojan horse for them I think.

Very cool story, but nothing really new in terms of game play. Think stalker/ fallout in terms of atmosphere.

It's a traditional FPS game, but with limited resources (your money is your high grade ammo), interesting weapons, and a very Stalker/Fallout vibe. Basically, it's about the society that's set up in the Moscow metro tunnels in the wake of nuclear Armageddon. I highly recommend it.

It's also getting a sequel soon and the book it's based on has been translated into English, I believe.

I heard good things and bad things of that game.... what is it? Anyone have it?

Also... it's my birthday.... so...

I'm pretty sure Red Orchestra is an ultra realistic WW2 FPS shooter, primarily set in the Russian theater of operations. But that's about all I know about it.

Really, I haven't owned a console since the PS2, I just saw it in my google reader and thought it'd be easy to put here.

No, it's cool. Good sales are good sales. Just thought I'd toss in my recommendations if anyone was gonna buy them.

Humble Indie Bundle 5 is going and it's maybe the best bundle ever and as always, the original Humble Indie Bundle blows away the rash of imitators.

http://www.humblebundle.com/

If you donate more than the average 7.07 you get Bastion, Amnesia, Psychonauts, Limbo and Sword and Sworcery.

Well, Shego, you could donate a penny and still get Amnesia and Sword and Sworcery.

Amnesia is the scariest God damn game ever made.

Well, that's kind of lame. I bought it for a dollar (for the Steam codes) and just found out that you only get one code for the whole whack of games just specifically so people don't give out their extra copies. I guess it's understandable, I did just get a couple of games I don't own for a dollar.
