This is something that has been coming for a while but I didn't want to cause a panic.

Here is the note from Bumble:

Howdy sir

First off, don't worry, nothing crazy will be happening for a while.

I just wanted to give you ample warning of my plans.

I never planned to do Alfie for very long, it kind of just happened. That's not to say I don't enjoy doing the comic, I love Alfie! I just never banked on him being something I'd stick with for a long while.

That being said, I have been thinking of how to end the series for a while now, simply because I wanted it to do just that-- end.

I was mapping out the dates, and for a while I was thinking of ending on the 50th strip. However, for the sake of simplicity, I shall end it on the last Monday of July.

August 1st shall be the first Monday in about a year that Alfie will not update.

The reason I am telling you this is two-fold.
1) I cannot thank you enough for giving me a place to host my comic, and to let me just do my thing.
I know Alfie may not have been exactly what everyone was expecting, but it was what I felt like doing at the time, and for allowing me to do so, I thank you.
2) You deserve so much more than just a two-weeks notice :p
I don't know if you'll be able to find a replacement for Mondays, or what will happen there..
I may come up with a new idea I want to put in that time-slot, but for now, I'll probably be focusing on other things. Like I said though, it's a long ways away, and I never know when inspiration may strike.

There is really only one definite in all this;
Alfie will run it's final strip on July 25, 2011.

Though, I won't be going anywhere, so don't you fret ;)
Thanks Dave, you truly helped me give myself the push that I needed to get my creative juices flowing.

So...Mondays will be opening up in August. I'd like to have something ready to go well before that. If interested let me know.

I'm realizing that Sweet Tin Revolution will take a few years to do...I'm actually drawing up some new Pixel pages - would you be interested if I relocated 'em here? My old site's dead anyway. I would have quite a bit ready by August, that's for sure.

Are there page size requirements? My larger, comic-sized pages always turn out better. It would be more longform this time, starting with a reworking of this:

I'm working on the first couple pages now. I was actually going to ask Dave about putting it up on Halforums when I was done. This could be destiny. Or coincidence. Either is good.

Zappit: From what I've experienced, the comic pages can be as long as you want them to be, it's just a problem if you need to go wider than the usual (Alfie's about as wide as you want a comic to be on halforums).

p.s. - I love you all.

That's cool. What was the width of your strips? Just so I can plan if I get the Monday spot.

Pst...pst....Dave said I could have the spot.

MWA HAHAHA.

Seriously though, I like Pixel so now I fee like an asshole.

Well, there can be more spots open. I could stop doing House of Hal for a better comic any day of the week.

What about a weekend comic? Something extra - maybe leave it up two days since less fewer people read webcomics then. If there's a place for Pixel, I'm game.

Dude, there will ALWAYS be a place for a real webcomic....as opposed to my half-assed tries!

I'm going to take a few months to build up the first major chapter - but yeah - this is page 1 for sure.

Working on some new pages now - really feeling motivated doing this again - they're actually looking pretty good. I'm even working faster than usual.
