Like others have said, I think it depends a lot on face shape, and honestly, the texture of your hair. Women with thin hair usually look better with shorter cuts: long hair tends to emphasize it's thinness and can look stringy.

I also get mine dyed super blonde which damages it so it has a ton of body. If I dyed it like that when its long, it would all break or fall out.
