And I just heard they have seasonal eggnog Chai lattes at Starbucks again.
I know what I'm doing soon: :coffee:[/QUOTE]

ME TOO!! YumYumYumYumYum

at almost exactly 75,000 words. I'm shooting for 110K

I originally started this story as a nanowrimo back when i was married. Probably 4 years ago. My (now) ex-wife was into nanowrimo and I was trying to find ways for us to do things together--we were already deteriorating back then. I wrote 25,000 words in just under 2 weeks, and she got pissed, because she wasn't doing so well. Rather than take it as something we could do and get excited about together, and encourage each other on, she took it as a contest, and my speedy writing as a sign of her failure or something. It just became a big sore point.

So, I put it away. I told Callistarya about it 2-3 months ago, let her read the first chapter, and she's been pushing me to finish it ever since. I think I'm making good time..I've written essentially half a novel working part-time in 2-3 months.

The end is in sight...I don't think it'll be too hard to finish it up.

Nice. Very nice. What sort of story is it? Any genre?

Character-driven coming-of-age story, fantasy genre. Magic system is pretty strongly defined/consistent (no "wingardium leviosa" thank you very much).

Ooh, intrigiung... and curiously reminiscent of an online novel I'm proofreading for a friend of mine.

Mention that it was inspired by Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and I will ignore all personal details you have issued thus far, and assume that you are in fact an Oxford student in her early twenties.

My wife has finished all the Christmas shopping.

No thats not an epic win really.

She has also finished wrapping them.

Again not so much an epic win.

Wrapping paper cardboard tube lightsaber duel!

EPIC expletive expletive WIN!

=voom voom=

my birthday is tomorrow, and if I'm lucky, I'll be celebrating it at the renaissance festival with hot sweaty naked renaissance wenches writhing against my skin in my tent. :horn:

This week was brutal (and you can read about it here!) but this weekend is looking excellent. Last night I was with some friends watching a Back To the Future Marathon (that movie. would make an excellent drinking game) which was my first time seeing the first one in it's entirety, and my first time seeing either of the sequels at all. Today, I'm taking the kid I work with to the art gallery, which I have been waiting to go to anyhow. Then tonight, one of my friends from the Bahamas is having a Bahama night, in which she is cooking many of the exciting dishes she has told me about. Then, I am hitting George St. with a bunch of friends to watch a friend-of-a-friend's rock band do a show.

And if you don't know about George St., you should. It's a side street to the oldest street in North America, and has the highest number of bars-per-square-foot outside of Ireland. It is where 'it' happens. And it will be my first time there. (well, I've been there before, but never for the revelry. It's always been business: i.e. making sure there are no drunks drowning in their own vomit, providing food to homeless musicians, etc.)

Go to O'Reileys!

Say hello to the little old man who tap dances!

End the night by pissing on the grave marker that next to the Rock House.

Why the hell is there a grave marker on George Street anyways? Doesn't seem smart.

We were at the Rock House all night. My music school friends basically knew everyone who was playing, and wanted to check out their friend's band 'Catcher.' They were actually freaking awesome, and I'm intending to get their EP now.

I didn't notice any grave marker though. Where is it?

Oh, and during the night we had three cop cars drive by (not exactly strange, I would expect), one fire engine, and a Rescue vehicle. I still haven't been able to figure out what exactly happened to need those vehicles ...

Way to go, CK. :)

FREE FOOD! Dad made a 12 lb brisket this weekend and sent me home with about a pound of it.

My dad makes the best marinade, too. He's an amazing cook. He and I are baking a pumpkin pie together for Thanksgiving. ^_^ I love my Dad.

My girlfriend is an amazing cook and loves to bake. She made lava cake Saturday night and it was amazing.

Also she is a beer enthusiast, a Star Wars/LotR nerd, and plays video games. I'm feeling a jackpot coming on.

My friend... if you're hearing a noise, it's a thousand men crying that they didn't get to her first. ;) What a find! She sounds great!

The two guys who work at the nearby gas station recognized me and my friends from our sketches and were totally entertained that we came into their store. They quoted the Halloween episode and asked me where my gun was.

I always want to get gas from there now.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Because of the hurricane in the gulf (that I had no idea about) we end school at noon today!!! Hooray possible wind damage!!!!

I'm thinking a lighter tone of purple, possibly even lavender. We're going shopping together tomorrow morning. :)

I ALSO NEED NEW DRESS PANTS SHIT $$$$

Not an epic win yet but hopefully soon.

A domain I have been trying to get for the past 3-4 years expired and the redemption period on it will be up on the 11th, then 5 more days and I can buy the domain.
