[TV] The What Animation Are You Watching Thread 2!: The Sequel!

That was exactly why I assumed we wouldn't see any more of it. Those episodes looked insanely time consuming and are probably difficult to monetize since I don't see a way for it to work in a half hour format without losing what made it good in the first place. How much money is there in web shorts?
That's the thing though; they made the original series on about $131k. Minus living expenses, they probably spent 10-15k an episode That's basically NOTHING. And since then, they've gotten a t-shirt line and other merch. They don't need to pull in a ton of money to make money. Sometimes it really is just about the art.

I guess Dragon Prince is good but it's so ugly and the animation is so hard to watch. It's barely a step above new Berserk and that's the ugliest cartoon ever produced by humans.

Venture Bros S07E07

.... that is a LOT of censoring. I wonder if they'll ever issue an uncensored version as they have in previous seasons.

Ok, Jesus, don't be pedants over my hyperbolic dislike of the new Berserk.
Look, no one here has ever before exaggerated or used hyperbole on these forums. We're all perfectly normal, literal-minded people who say exactly what we mean, no more, no less. This ensures perfect communication, and is the reason this forum is as civil as it is and such a financial success.
Allowing someone to use hyperbole like this would destroy our reputation, bring down the value of our merchandise, lead to a breakdown in communication, turn all of is against one another, and ultimately lead to the death of several members and incarceration of others. Which would be bad.
So, no exaggerations, or the doomweasels will come get you.

Another fantastic season of Bojack. Given the behind the scenes issues between them and Netflix I figured it'd be the last season and I thought it was a reasonably satisfying conclusion.

That being said, it sure looks like we're getting a season 6 now.

I like that Brian and Dante are working on it so it'll probably be good but I'm also like...why remake this?
Because Nick did a shitty job of it with the original theatrical version, that cut out virtually all the plot and replaced most of the people of color with white actors?

Basically, they want to do it right. Also, if this goes into Korra stuff, they won't have to wait until the last 30 seconds of the god damn series to confirm Korra and Asami are together?

And Katara and Zuko will get together this time.

Man, Venture Bros.

This season is firing on all cylinders.

Red Death continues to be just, just the best.

Even the Titmouse signoff at the very end of the credits slayed me.

It wasn't a wham episode, but it was good. I always enjoy the backstory/lore building episodes. Resent the post-credits cliffhanger a little bit, but at least it wasn't the season finale so HOPEFULLY the next episode reveals Sheila's decision.

I didn't realize South Park was back for another season until my seedbox automatically scraped the first episode of the new season from my iptorrents RSS feed. Watched it a couple nights ago, forgot to say something about it. I got some chuckles out of it. Not epic best ever, but it was fairly decent, if a bit... formulaic for the show.

It's clear that the creators have sort of... lost interest in the show after the whole Trump election thing. They've kind of lost their street cred and have become the very thing they railed against for years; old and conservative. Now they feel uncomfortable going after political stuff period and it's sort of cut the soul out of the show. It doesn't help that their usual stick of attacking both sides isn't seen as bold and refreshing anymore, but rather just preserving the status quo.

It's little wonder the tag line for this season is #cancelsouthpark. I think they'd be happier focusing on other projects, especially Book of Mormon and getting it turned into a film.

OK KO's Halloween special is just...just the fucking best, let me tell you. I love this show. I mean it has THREE of the original ghouls from "Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School"-WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?!

I know I harp on it a lot, but I still gotta say the new season of Bravest Warriors is just SO sub-par. In one ep a MAJOR change happens and in the next episode-NO-ONE ACKNOWLEDGES IT! This show used to have a real god damned continuity, now its just filled to the brim with pointless standalone stories, many of which just over-used premises from other shows, one episode even being a complete rip-off of the evolution episode of Futurama!

I'm really starting to dig Craig of the Creek. This week's episode had a brief nod to OK KO too, when they are picking characters at the end of the episode.

Its got a nice Recess meets Clarence done right vibe and I like it, only if Jeff were the main character-WHICH-at least to me, would've made Clarence WAY more better.
