Kazuo Koike passed away from pneumonia. Most notable works are the Lone wolf and cub manga, Lady Snowblood, Crying Freeman and Mad Bull 34.
That's the second manga legend that died this month. Early this month Lupin III creator Kazuhiko Kato, Monkey Punch, passed away with 81 also from pneumonia.
