On this day in 1985 they made their first published appearance in newspapers!
The rest is history.
Perhaps a tunafish sandwich for lunch is in order?

I love Calvin & Hobbes so much.

I ordered a used Calvin and Hobbes complete collection on amazon in late september, but didn't realize the seller was in India. I guess it's still on it's way? Amazon estimated a November 10th delivery date, so I'm a week past that.
I'll be interested to find out if 1) it ever comes and 2) if it's a knock-off.
I still have that paper somewhere. Too bad I didn't preserve it.

I was only 3 when Calvin and Hobbes ended, but I had tons of the books when I was a kid. I was really annoyed that my local paper didn't carry it. The explanation did not make me feel good.

I had a few of the treasuries growing up. I also remember when Watterson took an extended sabbatical and we had nothing but reruns for eight months.
My favorite story arcs were Stupendous Man and Spaceman Spiff.
