Yay! The Evil Nanny!

I've never really been able to get into Girl Genius? The art style... characters faces almost always seem off for some reason.

Also, I've had a hard time taking Phil Foglio seriously, since I heard he did a porn series a few years back.

It was wacky shit. I heard. aranoid:

So it will be interesting to see if Von Pinn is going to accept Agatha as the new Hetrodyne. And even if she does, is it just because the castle could rip her a new one if she didn't? Von Pinn is Lucrecia's creation so it's hard to say where her loyalty lies.

I don't mind the art of Girl Genius or Foglio. He has a unique style that has improved over the years. But it's improved in a direction of detail and character emphasis. He has a very caricature style to his work and I enjoy it. The cartoony look of it is expressed in the facial features of his characters and considering how outlandish his stories are it makes for a decent fit.
Regardless, Girl Genius is an amazing story. Despite Foglio's porn beginnings I think that Girl Genius has done a great job staying clear of that genre. Sure he keeps the big breasted women in almost too revealing clothing around, but that describes any and every comic book artist in existence.
