He half-begat Swamp-Thing, who begat John Constantine, who begat a kick-ass spin-off series that for some confusing reason wasn't allowed to interact with the mainstream DC universe for a while, until it was. May he rest in peace.

I've sadly not seen much of his work. But I didn't grow up on the 70s and 80s horror comics that he's known for. I learned of him for the first time when I bought Batman: The Cult last year. Fantastic art.

Man, I really loved his Swamp Thing and Horror Comics when I was a kid. I remember buying Batman: The Cult when it came out because Bernie came out of retirement to draw that book. So I always assumed that he would be much older than that.

Fuck.... 68.... I.... Wrightson was always one of my favorites. So bummed.
