Kushner's statement: Read Jared Kushner’s full statement on the Trump-Russia affair to Congress
Reviewing emails recently confirmed my memory that the meeting was a waste of our time and that, in looking for a polite way to leave and get back to my work, I actually emailed an assistant from the meeting after I had been there for ten or so minutes and wrote “Can u pls call me on my cell? Need excuse to get out of meeting.”
How much of his statement is corroborated by other sources? He claims at least some of it has been cross-audited, but hey, those are his words, as released by him. Take them as you will.

The Globe and Mail unfortunately doesn't link to the "original release" by Kushner, but hopefully it's available somewhere.

The night the Challenger exploded, Reagan was due to deliver the State of the Union address. Instead he canceled it, and instead spoke to a shocked and grieving nation as a grandfather would.

Can any of you seriously picture Trump pulling that off? Would he instead insist the SOTU go ahead as planned to massage his own ego?

I will be surprised if his SOTU is anything but "The Union is doing great. it's the best it's ever been. Really, the Fake Lying Media says differently, but it's clear that this is the best ever and we're great and getting even greater. The United Soviet States of Amer...I mean, United States of America is fantastic. There's no trouble at all."

He's calling out the GOP by name for not doing enough to kiss his ass.

There's just GOT to be a tipping point where someone in the party finally breaks and decides "fuck Fox. Fuck the ditto heads. Fuck Hannity. NO MORE."

I know it was almost a year ago. Great. Great election. Such a quality win for America."
Fixed that for you.[DOUBLEPOST=1500900603,1500900566][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think you really underestimate how low these folks will go.

Just because trump is a disaster doesn't mean we should pretend Reagan didn't earn his spot on the shortlist of worst presidents ever.

Oh, Ronnie's not getting a pass for Iran-Contra, or Ed Meese and the porn committee, the list is long. But in that one moment, could you possibly imagine Trump trying to be even remotely human?

Say what you will about Reagan, but a lot of republicans still see him as one of the greats. My mother loved him back in the day and still considers him the greatest past president.

I don't actually agree, but even I have to give him credit for being presidential and not taking shit from Russia during the height of the Cold War. Trump feels like if you took Reagan, took any and all his better qualities, and threw them into a bizzaro world, so it's just a baby shell of a man that doesn't have the spine to handle criticism and thinks the "dictator" of Russia is a cool dude.

People who think Reagan is one of the worst presidents need to read more history books. He's not great IMO, but he's no where near the worst.
He was good in a sense that he could read a script. The vast majority of the policies at the time were terrible and still has far reaching consequences to this day.

I feel about him the way my Dad felt about Hoover. A descent man that was a puppet to evil men.

I think Trump is just downright cartoon-villain, meets-Eriol's-definition-of evil. Hateful, wrathful, spiteful, capricious, lying, unethical evil.

And he got all that from Fred. Don't think we've forgotten Steeplechase Park, asshole.

Man, in non-treasonous/only insane news, Trump told some boy scouts a story about how a buddy of his had fun sex parties on a yacht.

......!

...

.

"And he went out and he bought a big yacht. And he had a very interesting life. I won't go anymore than that because you're boy scouts, I'm not going to tell you what he did. Should I tell you? Oh, you're boy scouts, but you know life, you know life."

Inferred ruckus partying I guess more than anything. Still not really appropriate for a speech to scouts.

"The great William Levitt" that Trump is so enamored with was also a segregationist that refused to sell his homes to blacks or jews, despite being jewish himself. He went all the way to the supreme court trying to fight legal obligations to integrate.

In June, Trump nominated Brian Benczkowski to lead the criminal division of the Department of Justice. Benczkowski will have his hearing on Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee. On Monday, the New York Times wrote that Benczkowski disclosed that he had worked for one of Russia’s largest banks: Alfa Bank. Alfa Bank’s owners, have ties to Vladmir Putin.

Last year, computer experts discovered a data stream between an Alfa Bank server and the Trump Campaign server. Reports about the mysterious stream abounded, and discussion that it could be some sort of back channel. The FBI investigated and concluded that there were no links between the two. Experts said the server was used to promote Trump’s Hotels and was owned by a marketing firm. There was never a serious forensic investigation that would show what was the purpose of the communications.
Before the Judiciary Committee hearing, Benczkowski told the panel that he was prohibited – due to a confidentiality agreement – from disclosing his work with Alfa Bank; but he has since obtained a waiver. The disclosure was made in a letter dated July 19, as reported by the New York Times.
Benczkowski of course says he cannot discuss anything that would be considered attorney-client privilege or any legal advice he gave Alfa Bank. Benczkowski characterized his relationship with Alfa as favorable.

At this point every answer could be singing the Russian national anthem, and the Senate would still vote to confirm.

Nauseating display. Since he's such a fucking boss of projection, I can only begin to imagine what he fantasizes about. No wait, I don't have to, he's just saying it into the mic.

McCain made a speech about how he wouldn't vote for the Healthcare bill, then voted for it. So you know, same old, same old.[DOUBLEPOST=1501048537,1501048444][/DOUBLEPOST]

Trump has just banned transgender people from serving in the military via tweet.

Fuck this guy. Fuck his party. Fuck the people who voted for him. QUINTUPLE FUCK THE PEOPLE WHO JUST STAYED HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

But her e-mails!

Yeah, I don't even understand the argument given. "The army needs to focus and can't afford the cost of keeping transgenders in the troops". Maybe also not allow women to go tro the frontlines, that'll save on having to supply two bathrooms.
