Conservatives have finally spoken out against Trump. Of his many atrocities, the one they cannot stand is ...

Taking the lord's name in vain.
Wow, you're not exaggerating. ‘Using the Lord’s name in vain’: Evangelicals chafe at Trump’s blasphemy

Goddamn is not presidential 2019-08-12 122318.png

This letter is solely focused on Trump saying "goddamn", twice, in a speech.

I don't even know where to begin with how wrong this is in regards to Christian doctrine, let alone morality, ethics, linguistics, logic, etc, etc, etc.

"Goddamn" is not the name of the LORD. Taking the name of the LORD in vain? That's what happens when lawmakers say "God told me to do this", or "God commands us to act this way", when God didn't say anything of the sort. Justifying the abuse of immigrants by citing scripture? That is taking the LORD's name in vain.

This guy supported Trump in 2016. Guess he was fine with "grab them by the pussy" being presidential speech.

Barr cites 'failure' at NYC jail that held Epstein, says 'co-conspirators' should not rest easy

"We are now learning of serious irregularities at this facility that are deeply concerning and demand a thorough investigation," Barr told a national policing conference in New Orleans on Monday morning.
Barr said he was "appalled" and "angry" to learn of the Metropolitan Correctional Center's "failure to adequately secure this prisoner."
Barr is in charge of that facility! This is his responsibility! This administration is incompetent.

Not incompetent. Merely projecting incompetence after the fact so that they can have a long, drawn-out, diversionary investigation that will in the end find nothing or bring charges against a peon which is going to be the scapegoat.

Barr wants anything BUT the truth to come out. Barr and his family is in DEEP with Epstein.

I'm pretty sure Trump is incompetent, narcissistic, and possibly slowly dementing. I'm also sure the fascists he's providing such a stunning smoke screen for are anything but.
It's hard to tell who's "just" a politician willing to do anything for power/fame/money, and who is actually convinced and deliberately creating a combination of Nazi Germany and a theocratic Caliphate.

Do they not have name tags?

I mean c'mon, you'd think at least the assassins would know what they're doing at least enough to think of a fake name beforehand...

Hey all! Remember when I said this a whole...yesterday ago? Well, the FBI has JUST NOW raided Epstein's place. I know, right? Like, why not when he was arrested for child prostitution and sex trafficking or, you know, BEFORE THAT? Well, Here's a picture of his offices BEFORE the FBI invaded. Notice anything strange? That's right, before the FBI was able to secure anything, all the phones and computers were swiped away. So no evidence is probably there to gather. What a strange and random happenstance!

Don't expect any whistleblowers this time. They've been making examples to ensure no one risks exposure.

Although economic anxiety played a role in working-class whites voting for Trump, his voters are relatively well off compared to the general population. In my area the hardcore Trumpster is college educated, approaching retirement age, makes about $60-70k annually (really high for East Texas), and probably has a membership in the Elks lodge. He continues to support Trump because he's uneasy about changing demographics. White resentment fueled Trump's popularity.

Trump "joking" about canceling the next presidential elections, and just continuing as president indefinitely:

What's stopping ICE from deporting the husbands or wives of deployed military? Probably nothing.

And once that happens, the Praetorian Guard scenario is really in play.

As it says lower in that tweet thread, Trump is testing reactions and normalizing, a way to soften people to the idea if he goes for it, be that remaining president or inciting violence against the Democrat candidates.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If Trump thinks he stands to lose the next election, if he's polling badly enough that his even his ego tells him he won't win, he'll attempt to stop the elections from even happening. He won't accept not being re-elected.

cheeto literally cancelled the law that prevented that recently.

Question, if cheeto cancels the elections are there any legal grounds for him to remain in power or does the speaker become president the moment his term expires. But most likely instant impeachment, unless war is waging on american soil.

You really think enough republican senators would have heart attacks for impeachment to be on the table?
I think by that point we'd already be beyond such things as "Republicans" or "Senators" or "impeachment" or even "heart attacks."
