South Park: Unfullfilled

Funny how Trey and Matt suddenly go all in on socialist/marxist ideology when the target is a leftist billion their buddy Trump doesn't like. Seriously, I can't wait for this season to end because it's been almost nothing but shit this season.
I stopped watching after the first or second episode. Are they still ending every ep with #CancelSouthPark on a black screen?

Plus with the latest ep its the start of ANOTHER two-parter. I mean come on, Return of Manbearpig-THAT-deserves a two-parter, but a basic ass "Make fun of Amazon" South Park premise? That's ONE episode tops!

Ah, that short was playing before "The incredibles 2" and I dare to say it was better than the feature presentation. Not that "The incredibles 2" was a really bad movie, but that short made me feel emotions. And the character design was really better. "Incredibles 2" had some really grotesque looking characters.

My mom and I got different things out of that short. I got very suffocating mom who needed to learn to let go and stop trying to be in control. She got no matter how much you do for your kids they always leave you. So I think that says something about our relationship.

They put the director of this in charge of an unnamed, future Pixar movie.
She was a classmate of mine at Sheridan. We're all rooting for her while also watching her career with intense jealousy. Like, this film got short listed for the Oscars, and is a shoo in nominee and a not at all unlikely winner. And it's her directorial debut (if you don't count her animation thesis film, which was also great).

I remember you posted a bunch of your and your classmates' works here once, do you remember if hers was one of them?

I don't think she ever put hers online. But it might have been. I know I've searched for it and not been able to find it.

A lot of the best ones never got posted because the people behind them were submitting them to festivals and some festivals frown on that for some reason.

**Edit** I take it back I found it

Maybe we should let poor @Frank watch some good sci-fi, and I vote for Voltron.

I just finished the final season, and the whole run was so good. I wasn't sure what to expect when they announced they were going to reboot it, but this is a reboot that was worth it. I loved the original, but this, in my opinion, was far better. I'm going to miss it, but I'm also really happy it's a show our whole family has gotten in to. Also, I thought it was funny that
the finale had a similar plot to Into the Spider-verse. Sci-fi loves that trope, doesn't it?

Umm.. I didn't finish the bit in the spoiler tag because, while I've seen (and enjoyed) all of the new Voltron show, but the spoiler appears to be about another property.

Yes, since I didn't want to spoil both, and I thought it was vague enough for both? Maybe not?

Tales of Arcadia-3 Below

I like MANY fans were a LIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTLE skeptical about a sci-fi series right after an urban fantasy series, but DAMN is this great, as well as having the most UNAMBIGUOUSLY pro-immigrant message out of ANY cartoon I've seen!

And THAT'S season 4 of Bravest Warriors, an okay finale but I DON'T think it makes up for the massive filler in the show. I pray to Wankershim the Nelvana writers figure out a clear narrative next season because they SURE AS HELL didn't have one during this one.

She was more of a villain with a code there. Never lamented that "stealing hurts people."
At the same time, Carmen was clearing into it to steal stuff, not resort to brutish tactics like shooting people. She teamed up/assisted Zack and Ivy more than once, usually on the grounds that one of people she worked with was a bonafied monster who didn't give two shits about people getting hurt. It may have been a matter of professional pride for her... and it's echoes of her role in the computer games, where the worst she'd do is throw a thug with a trivia question at you.

So again... shades of it. Not FULL anti-hero, but clearly Catwoman-esque Rogue. The full change probably drawing heavily from Kim Possible, as well as stuff like Lupin. But really, it's probably because Gina Rodriguez (who also voices Carmen) has a live action Carmen Sandiago movie coming to Netlfix later this year.

but how does the ACME detective agency factor into this story? will it be ala lupin where a Zenigata-esk grizzled detective is chasing her all over the world?

Finn Wolfhard's voicing "Player", who is someone that works with Carmen. Whether that means ACME is involved or not... who knows.

Young Justice: Season 3 Eps 1-3

This is all one big arc dealing with Meta-trafficking. First episode is mostly setup for the rest of the season, dealing with fallout from the end of Season 2 and setting up the background issues that frame Season 3.

The rest of the episodes deal with the country of Markovia, which is a hotbed for child meta-trafficking, starting two years after the end of Season 2. Basically, with the discovery of the Human Meta gene in Season 2, trafficking individuals (especially kids) with activate meta genes is big business and the discovery of one during a Justice League mission becomes a sticking point for the group. Dick Graceson (I guess he's not going by Nite Wing anymore?) has been working off the books to deal with the problem for awhile now and brings a couple of others into fold to deal with the issue. There's A LOT more to the episodes than this, but I'm trying not to comment on the story.

Overall, it's a strong start for the series (probably because of returning writer Weissman) with great animation and it's clear they weren't afraid to use the freedom from TV ratings they'll enjoy on DC's service as opposed to TV. Expect to see blood (and one pretty gory shot) but not to an excessive level; this isn't Castlevania and it's sprays of blood everywhere. If you liked Justice League or Young Justice, you'll probably enjoy the return of the show.

Yeah I get the cool new thing is take old properties that barely had lore and put lore to them, but...Care Bears? I dunno.

Either way, it still looks better than...this:

No, this is not a bargain bin dollar store knock-off of Unikitty, its a new series coming to Nickelodeon...Welcome to the Wayne gets cancelled, while THIS show exists.
