[Movies] The DC Cinematic Universe - The David Zazlav Dumpster Fire.

Why did they manage to make Aquaman look so small?

--Patrick
That's...impressive, considering that Jason Momoa is 6'4", which makes him considerably taller than all the other cast members besides Affleck (who he is likely also just physically larger than).

Wonder Woman should be the tallest and yet Batman is huge there. Then in the trailer, Aquaman towers over them all. I'm familiar with CGI creatures having inconsistent sizes, but these are all played by real people.

Just watched Wonder Woman earlier tonight.

Definitely reminiscent of Captain America: The First Avenger, even down to the "Steve apparently gets suicidal behind the wheel of an advanced airplane".

Gal Gadot was perfect.

Fucking copyright.
Trademark. Copyright doesn't expire from non-use ever since... well, the Superman vs Cpt. Marvel appeal when the judged ruled that DC didn't lose it's copyright because they didn't copyright some obscure Superman licensed thing...

There's nothing stopping DC from calling the hero Cpt. Marvel, as they have for decades after Marvel trademarked Mar-Vell, they just can't use it as the name of the film or comic. But apparently too many people are stupid enough to think Shazam was his name, so DC renamed him to "avoid confusion".

I for one can't wait for the Zelda film, where they'll probably call the princess Link...

It will be interesting to see the bulking program he undertakes - especially if he's comparable to Henry Cavill.
They could be going for a more "Greatest American Hero" look (which was pretty inspired by Cpt. Marvel) instead of the classic meathead look. I mean, they are putting him up against The Rock... he is NEVER going to measure up.

At least we won't have any confusion with Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. since Jim Nabors is already dead.

Wouldn't that put one or more of the 900+ year old biblical figures only recently deceased?
No, b/c they (Black Adam) were made on Day 6 of the literal Creation series. For the true literalists, they think actual 24 hr 'days.' 6 days for God to make it All and one day to chill. As well, it is thought the Adam was made in His Image means that Adam was thus perfectly made with no flaws and so which is why he lived so long. After the "fall from Grace" the sins and the muckety muck diluted the perfect creation into cancer and aging and whatnot.

So, if it all started at 5000 B.C. then Adam would have gone by ~4000. And, Noah was born ~150ish yrs after Adam died, and went on to live a long time, but would have been dead by 3000 B.C.ish. This is all according to a Creationist timeline (or at least my understanding of it).

The reason I put "they" up there b/c one can translate Adam from the Hebrew version is in a plural form, which may indicate that Adam was just a representation of Humanity not a single dude.

Probably more than you wanted to know.

Justice League comes in at 1 hour, 59 minutes. Apparently WB mandated it be under two hours.

So here comes probably another incoherent mess that won't be a complete movie until the extended edition releases on Blu Ray. Wonderful.

Uh... the movie has to introduce three new superhero characters, plus the villain, plus supporting characters like Gordon. And then it has to actually do the superhero movie stuff, ie fight the villain and show discord among teammates until they all pull together in the end. And they want to pull this off in 119 minutes?

Don't forget build further on the universe and set up or tease Darkseid for a sequel that probably won't happen.

Maybe they'll take the road of Spider-man: Homecoming and just assume that we all get the gist of robot dude, fast dude, water dude and just get to the actual plot.

I wish. It'd be like they did their own individual movies before the team movie.

I wonder what that approach would be like. :awesome:

Seriously. The Avengers had already established Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Loki, Nick Fury, Hawkeye, the Tessaract, and SHIELD. That means the movie could start with the plot, introduce the Chitauri, and move to forging the team from the individuals. That only worked because the groundwork was already laid. And Avengers was 2 hours and 12 minutes long.

Justice League has a huge list of tasks to accomplish and no room to do it with.
