Was found dead on the tour bus for his current band. Had battled addictions most of his career. He was 48.

Same here. One of my favorite bands during my teens, and I still enjoy the classics. It's sad, but I'm almost surprised he lived this long. His problems with drugs were numerous and frightening.

Too bad. I am also surprised he has lived this long. He was looking quite rough when he left the band. He put on a great show. One of my fondest memories of a rock concert was STP's Purple album tour. The whole band was great. Scott had clear vocals and the bassist was amazing. Mosh pit was insane. Ah, youth.

Blows, was always a fan of STP.

I was never a big fan of STP but I enjoyed the music.
