The fact that Felix Hernandez' last start ever for the Mariners is coming up this week and the King of Seattle has never pitched in a single post-season game is astoundingly awful. Seriously, they couldn't string together one halfway decent attempt at a season in his entire tenure. It really feeds my distaste for the entire Mariners organization, from the ownership to the front office and all of the myriad of cellar-dwelling managers they've hired over the years. From holding opening day games in Japan to pissing off Griffey so badly that he retied mid-season, the last two decades of this ball club have been nothing but blunder, after blunder, after blunder. Oh, and let's not forget the time that they had a Native American fan appreciation night and gave out blankets and dropped the price on beer.
Anibal Sanchez comes four outs from no-hitting the Cards in game one of the NLCS.
EDIT: After doing some poking around, I'd have to say that was probably the best game he's put together in a Nats uniform. He's have five one-hitters, three which were broken up late. He had the no-hitter as a Marlin back in 2006. Strange enough, he also had tow two-hitters against the Nats, both when he was in Florida.
